A place to stay but that’s about it, someone stole my ice brick from the freezer.

Thought low cost was no air con and shared bathroom. But it is just a back packer place in the centre . One bathroom was clean the other looked as if never cleaned . Website says bar/ cafe/ restaurant/ free wifi / coffee and tea at common areas . None existed . Room at least was quiet and dark . The other thing place stank of cigarettes

Well from the advertisement picture to actually the room there are very different pictures completely and then there was bloody the TV someone was playing around and x-rated stuff kept on coming up on my TV screen but otherwise it was alright it was just somewhere to lay your head

We wanted a place to stay that was comfortable, but not upmarket. It was close to everything & suited our needs. It was clean, staff were friendly and we could cook meals when required. We were glad we chose The Met Hotel.

Definitely put a small fridge , a chair and a small table in each room , not a good idea sharing one fridge with 17 rooms . This would not cost much . At $70 a night , believe it or not it’s actually over priced for what you currently get. A room for a week should be no more than $250 at this premises . It’s an ok deal for someone who is on the dole or struggling , a lot better than the street . The manager / cleaner was very pleasant and helpful , the owners are lucky to have her .

The Bar that is shown on the web site is closed and has been for some time we we told.

Like - Location, Don't Like - Shared Facilities

Handy cheap overnight stay in the centre of town.

If you are looking for a bed for the night, in a convenient location, and can put up with shared facilities it is absolute value for money.

Dark entry point at rear of property, beside carpark, makes you very uncomfortable trying to enter at night. Photo of room on website, is nothing like actual room. This place surely does not meet fire safety code! Share kitchen was disgusting, lucky all my vacs are up to date!

Absolutely nothing special.

Entrance through an alleyway, very poorly maintained rooms, no amenities, noisy.

Shared bathroom facilities were clean as was the room but the kitchen facilities were dirty with no clean cups in the cupboard (put away uncleaned) and no alternative (paper cups) available.

It was noisy, full of drug addicts would not recommend

Bed was terrible. Shared toilet facilities were dirty as was the tea/coffee making facilities Definitely not what is shown in the photos. Entry via side alley with narrow steep stairs to upstairs accommodation No entry to actual pub available

Quiet 🤫 accommodation, friendly staff, close to town main Street easy accessibility to get food., amazing walk ☺️ next to the pub...
