I love the family atmosphere of this hotel. I am always comfortable and warm in winter and there's a lot of restaurants within a short distance. Easy to find and has TV's in each room with a shared bathroom. It's an old pub and the management staff are great.

DO NOT BOOK. UNFIT TO STAY IN BUSINESS. I wanted to contact property to notify late check-in. I called four/five times, nobody picked the call. I arrived around 7pm, found an afterhours contact number, called at least five times, no response. Eventually a person texted me with a lockbox code for room 8. I opened the box, there was no key (photo taken). Photo sent to hotel person, gave me code for room 12. A short while later a lady came down and started accusing me of stealing room 8 key, used extremely abusive language. She texted me with remarks ‘fxxxing dog’ which she later unsent. The lady told me that she is going to call cops. I went to Toowoomba Police Station and reported the incident. Due to the behaviour, risk to self and belongings, I didn’t stay and booked another hotel for the night. While I did not except a luxury experience in a budget hotel, this was quite extraordinary.

It is more like a hostel than a hotel. Very unsafe surrounds & area. On street parking. The shared bathrooms were very primitive & dirty. Shared kitchen was unusable. The noise level was unbearable. The walls are paper thin. Everytime someone open or closed their door you could hear it really loud. If anyone walked around in their room or the hallways you could hear it. Any noise on the street you could hear it. The pillows & mattress were really uncomfortable. All the doors have no smoking on them but someone in room 15 or 16 was smoking marijuana you could smell it in the hallway as you walked past to access the shared bathrooms. The bathrooms had shared hand towels & bath mats which are super unhygienic. They should provide a hand towel & bath mat with the towels in your room when you arrive. When I attempted to use I’m assuming was the ladies bathroom their was urine on the floor at the front of the toilet. There was no toilet paper either so my husband had to go into the men’s bathroom to obtain a roll. I would not stay here without a male partner accompanying you. I don’t feel like it is a safe place. We checked in at 4pm & there was a sign on the main entrance to call a number for after hours check in. The lady was helpful on the phone. I had to contact her by an sms message as I couldn’t get the through by phone call. We used the Sports Club next door for meals & the bathroom facilities. We also stayed for the comfortable chairs & to watch the large screen TV’s.
