It was quite nice stay. Yes when I arrived at the hotel around 7PM, there were many people in the lobby, restaurant and also in the reception desk. Then I needed to wait a little to avoid too much close contact. But this is not a thing that I can accuse the hotel. I enjoyed the room, bath tub and bar as well. comfortable, clean and quiet hotel. I recommend to anyone who look for a hotel in Liege.

hôtel bien placé en centre ville avec jolie terrasse en roof top et spa en sous sol Place de parking annoncée à disposition mais en fait elle est facturée ! Chambre spacieuse avec grande salle de bains douche et baignoire Machine à café et bouilloire à disposition. Carte du restaurant pas assez variée c’est la même midi et soir j ai essayé le restaurant japonais et j ai malheureusement fini en intoxication alimentaire plus il y a eu une alarme incendie en pleine nuit… J ai demandé une banane le lendemain pour pouvoir récupérer de ma nuit malade on m a gentiment répondu de me débrouiller … pas une super expérience dans cet hôtel hélas …

Un séjour inoubliable au Van der Valk Selys à Liège Notre séjour à l’hôtel Van der Valk Selys a été un véritable enchantement du début à la fin. Dès l’arrivée, on ressent cette alliance rare entre raffinement, confort et une attention sincère portée aux hôtes. L’hôtel Les espaces sont superbes, mêlant charme historique et modernité avec une harmonie remarquable. La chambre offrait un cocon de calme et de douceur, impeccablement tenue, avec cette petite touche de luxe discret qui transforme un simple séjour en véritable parenthèse de bonheur. Le restaurant Un pur délice. Chaque plat était une découverte, parfaitement exécuté, généreux sans jamais perdre en finesse. Le service, à la fois professionnel et chaleureux, a rendu l’expérience encore plus agréable. Le personnel Un mot particulier pour l’ensemble du personnel, dont la gentillesse, la disponibilité et le sens du détail ont véritablement sublimé notre séjour. On sent une équipe engagée, souriante, et profondément soucieuse de faire vivre à chaque visiteur un moment d’exception. Leur bienveillance a été la touche finale qui fait toute la différence. En résumé Tout était un vrai bonheur. Un lieu où l’on se sent accueilli, choyé, et où chaque détail semble pensé pour offrir une expérience mémorable. Nous repartons avec le sourire… et l’envie d’y revenir très vite.

Der Service im kompletten Hotel war sehr gut. Personal immer freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Some staff were super helpful and others quite rude! The parking info is confusing. Parking is very limited. Bits of the bathroom were broken including the shower head which couldnt be moved to a full shower height

Service catastrophique, Une partie du personnel n’est vraiment pas à la hauteur surtout pour le service.

Terrible check in experience. Was totally ignored and I stood there for 15mins, staff was walking back and forth with no acknowledgment to my existence. No smile, no I will be with you in a second. The receptionist Colin was so rude, when I gave them feedback, his solution was to argue with me, and said if he acknowledged me then I would approach him, so best not to acknowledge. Then he completed the check in process and walked off, left us standing there, without room key and passports. Another lady came over to give us our items and apologised. But there was no apologise from him and his manager who also took it lightly when we made a complaint to the hotel. We travel a lot, but never experienced such service from an apparent luxury hotel. It’s not luxury at all, better off going to a more basic hotel that understands customer service. Definitely will not be visiting again.

Acho que é o melhor hotel da região, o café da manhã realmente vale a pena, boa localização tbm e o quarto em si é muito bom também, só não é bem decorado, não tem caixa de som.

Best hotel in Liege

Very nice stay. Hotel was clean and nice personnel.

Wonderful hotel, lots of high quality amenities. We had two-rooms unit, but very little furniture. As a result we had to live off the suitcases for 4 nights of stay. It wasn't comfortable, plus the look of open suitcases didn't do much for the atmosphere in the unit.

Idéalement situé pour une visite au marché de Noël

Well the building is stunning and the amenities are quite good. It promised to be a great stay on the booking site. Tips if you decide to stay here: - A room below level 5 would feel quite claustrophobic as there would be limited view from the window. - Unless you book the top end suite, you are in a concrete annex located behind and below the hotel level. - Avoid arriving Sunday afternoon as it seems the brunch is a feature for the locals making your parking and check-in experience one you do not want to have. An hour queue to get to the desk. - Service is by request not by nature. - If you want to go to the town center, take the lift to the spa and exit by that door. Handy when coming back as it is a bit of a hike up the hill. Note that the spa lower access door closes at 9pm. After that it’s up the hill you go. Overall impression. The location, building, facilities are very nice and comfortable. It is even quiet for such a central location. There is however no-one in charge. No one who is there to check that everything runs without glitches. Service is inexistant unless you actively seek it making this 4 star hotel feeling like a major disappointment. It’s a real shame the as it has everything to be something magical and exceptional. We did get a terrible check-in but a good check out and some staff members on the night desk were very helpful when we had some noisy neighbors and lacked pillow cases for the spare pillow we needed.
