Helpful staff, situated right near the harbour. Breakfast was very good. Being on the first floor it tended to be noisy, re: near the entrance and breakfast room. Thank you

This was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. My friend and I were locked out on our balcony at around 1:00 AM because of a faulty balcony door lock that the hotel had clearly failed to inspect or maintain properly. We were trapped outside in our robes in the cold for approximately 40 minutes. During that time, the hotel did not call 911 or emergency services, despite the obvious safety risk. The only person who showed concern was a kind resident in the building across from us, who threw us a blanket because she could see we were freezing. When the maintenance worker finally arrived, he brought a ladder and attempted to get us down in what felt like an extremely unsafe manner. He also refused to drill the door open, even though all of our belongings, phones, and personal items were locked inside the room. Instead of focusing on the emergency, he was asking us where we were from, which felt completely inappropriate given the situation. We were not able to get back into our room until nearly 3:00 AM. To make matters worse, the manager acknowledged the seriousness of the incident and promised us a refund. The incident occurred on March 5, and as of May 29 we still have not received it. We have followed up multiple times and have been repeatedly passed back and forth between the hotel and Expedia. The hotel told us to contact Expedia, while Expedia informed us they never received anything from the hotel regarding the promised refund. At no point has either party taken

Characterful. Satisfactory breakfasts. Very tight parking. Stairs from buffet to tables making it difficult for those with mobility issues. Staff did not offer to help. Good location.

Beautiful historic hotel in downtown Victoria. Close to walking to all sites and shopping. Great breakfast.

Just a little confusion about when our room was ready for check in. First call, they said it was ready, but when we showed up it wasn’t. Second time this happened, they again said it was ready over the phone, after the second phone message, and then when we showed up it wasn’t. Then two min later, it was. So a bit of confusion over that. Otherwise all was perfect! Staff was friendly, helpful.

Great spot for our girls weekend! Walkable to most things and the hotel was clean and offered some nice perks like juice/water station with snacks. The breakfast was a good variety and changed up the days we were there.

Hotel was clean and offered good breakfast however there is major construction at the front of the property which we were not made aware of so obstructed the water view. Rooms on split levels were also very hot for sleeping so not good.

Loved the morning breakfast! Room was fantastic and very well maintained property. Easy underground parking. I came in early and Hanna made my check in so easy. She was very informative and helped me get my bearings as I was turned around after getting off the ferry. Highly recommend and will be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Victoria.

Our group recently experienced a challenging travel day en route to Victoria, but upon arriving the Huntingdon Hotel, we found a sense of relief and comfort that helped ease our frustrations. Despite our late arrival due to flight cancellations, the staff was incredibly understanding and accommodating. A simple phone call to inform the hotel of our situation was met with warm smiles and a welcoming attitude, which was refreshing after a long day of travel. We were in Victoria for a gymnastics competition, and our group included several children who were excitedly roaming the halls. The hotel staff treated us like family, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere that enhanced our overall experience. Our room was impeccably clean and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Additionally, the hotel's location was ideal, with close proximity to all the attractions we wished to visit. We greatly appreciated the flexibility of late checkout, which allowed us to relax a bit longer before our evening flights. The staff kindly permitted us to park on the street, which was a significant convenience. This was our second stay the Huntingdon Hotel, and we continue to be charmed by its location, character, and the exceptional service provided by the staff. We will undoubtedly return in the future and highly recommend this hotel to others visiting the area. Thank you, for making our stay memorable!

Overall a decent stay. The room was equipped with almost everything we needed for our stay. Unfortunately our room was slightly run-down (baseboards pulling from the wall, questionable stairs leading to the loft). As we travelled with suitcases, it would have been nice to have a dresser on the loft floor of the room. Our bathroom tub also backed up when it was in use. Additionally, scrubbers and/sponges for dish cleaning would have been helpful to have as well. Staff were very nice throughout the stay. Breakfast had a tasty assortment of food options and the dining area was well maintained. In the morning however, it was near impossible to catch the elevator up to our room because both elevators were in use by cleaning staff travelling to upper floors. Maybe management could consider having cleaning carts on each floor already and/or prioritize the elevators for guests during morning breakfast rushes.

It’s in a central location, easy to walk my dog. Close to fisherman’s wharf. Great walking area. The breakfast was excellent and their breakfast room is lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful with my request. Parking was extra , which was disappointing. And the extra charge for my dog was $30. A day , the highest I’ve seen. The room was quiet and very comfortable.

The property is in need of an update. There was nowhere to put your clothes you had to keep them in the suitcases. Also, they can do without the kitchenette which takes up a lot of space in the room that could be used to put additional furnishing such as a wardrobe, etc. Staff need to be trained a bit better. Apparently one of them gave another couple keys to our room and luckily, we were in the room at the time to let them know that the room was taken. Breakfast was good though. The staff taking care of that were always around and refilling.

Good place for the price and location. The rooms could use a fresh coat of paint and some small things here and there fixed up, but over all a nice place to stay with a great location. Breakfast was also good. Pretty dining room.

The hotel is very charming and well-organized, the staff is very attentive, and the location is excellent. I really liked it because there's a bicycle shop right in front, and I was able to cycle for a long time in Vitória. The breakfast is excellent. I recommend it.
