The August House was a truly wonderful place to stay! It's clearly a carefully curated environment with comfort and relaxation in mind. The room was incredible comfortable, the staff was lovely and the included breakfast was delicious! We will certainly be back next time we are in the area!

Melissa, the self-described Hospitality Maven, was a delight. Not only were her breakfasts delicious, but she was full of helpful information. August House is a wonderful place to stay if you are in the Windsor/Wolfville area.

Our room, #6, was excellent! It was spacious, well-appointed, super clean, and as my wife said - cute! She utilized and enjoyed the sauna. We stayed for 4 nights, and the lite breakfast each morning was a great start to our day exploring the surrounds. It was a very comfortable experience and there were several ‘comfortable’ restaurants nearby.

It was an amazing stay. Sad that we couldn’t stay longer. Beautiful character home. So many common spaces with a great breakfast.

Beautifully renovated Victorian house. Curated spaces throughout for sitting, lounging, listening to music, reading or playing a board game. Coffee and snack stations including ice cream sandwiches in the second floor refrigerator!! Breakfast was fresh, homemade and plentiful. Walkable to town for craft beer and delicious eats!!! Fantastic place.

Comfiest bed of our stay so far! Great location close to the main street in town. Loved the complimentary snacks, including chips and ice cream sandwiches, as well as the light continental breakfast. A very beautiful property, inside and out. No TV in the room but for a one night stay it's really not an issue.

This was quite possibly the best place I’ve ever stayed on vacation ever. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff that we met were wonderful. The whole house was just beautiful. If and when we make it back to Nova Scotia, I’d really like to come here again!

We had a wonderful stay at this unique boutique hotel. The property was exceptionally clean, and our room was beautifully designed, comfortable, and well-maintained. The attention to detail throughout the hotel made it feel special and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming and relaxing experience

Amazing staff in a wonderfully updated and modern Victorian building. Would stay again anytime back down in the region.

I can’t say enough positive things about the August House. First the main building is from the 1860’s and it both maintains the character of the place but was tastefully updated during COVID when converted to a hotel. The is no reception, when we checked messages via Expedia had not come through fortunately the local staff had sent me enough info I could contact them directly and they were lightning fast with responses. There are a couple beautiful sitting areas in the main drawing room and on the third floor. In the second floor kitchenette, free ice cream sandos (nice use of hockey slang in keeping with Windsors hockey history or someone loves Shoresy.) Great king bed, lovely bathroom all very clean. Mellisa on staff that day laid out a beautiful breakfast and specifically catered to my wife gluten free diet.She also shared the history of the building and the preservation of stained glass windows from a local church. As well they have thoughtful amenities, umbrellas, and snacks set out in addition to 2 fire pits and private saunas, if we had known what this place was like in advance we would have stayed longer to fully enjoy it.

This property was fabulous! There are so many thoughtful features throughout the beautiful home that just put this accommodation over the top. Check in was very easy. Would love to stay here again and highly recommend it!

We had such an excellent experience at the August House, we didn't want to leave. The House is gorgeous, and the rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated. You can tell a lot of heart, soul, and thought went into making every detail perfect. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were all so kind and happy to chat with us. We would definitely recommend The August House, it's a gem!
