The August House

The property was fantastic. This is a must stay if in Windsor

Breakfast menu was made with locally sourced products, tons of gluten free options made in house. The room was amazing. Our stay was amazing and the staff were so kind and attentive

Staff was beyond helpful and accommodating! Very clean rooms and the breakfast options were outstanding. The overall space was beautiful!

I would like to find more fruit. Only pieces of apple was available. PLZ include pineapple, orange, papaya, mango etc.

Unbelievably Enchanted! I have never stayed in any inn anywhere in the world that had paid much attention to detail, not just on the surface of being beautiful (which it is), but in every little detail that felt like it was meant to be a sanctuary of inspiration (down to the poetry murals), comfort, and rejuvenation. More like a spa than a place to sleep! Also- awesome breakfast, insumptuous credible hosts. 11 out of 10 stars! Also . . .what is IN that bath gel/shampoo/conditioner?! Cannot wait to return.

This was a wonderful stay. We did find everything 5 star. The one thing was the lack of space to put your items. The king bed took up.most of our space. Once our luggage was stowed on the luggage racks, there was a single small dresser on which to put toiletries, etc. A small first wirld problem, lol.

Highly recommend August House. The rooms in this heritage home are clean and beautiful with a minimalist, pine aesthetic. The breakfast is buffet with local bread, granola, berries, scrambled eggs, etc. The staff are very helpful. There is a sauna and several shared spaces. The rooms have no TV. The bed was very comfortable and the tub was deep.

We will highly recommend The August House to those visiting the area. Breakfasts were great.

Hele grote moderne kamer. Alles heel netjes. Auto moet je aan de zijkant parkeren. Ontbijt was ook erg lekker, maar geen warm ontbijt. Op loopafstand van het centrum, maar niet een hele fijne buurt.

The inn was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Having hot drinks and a refrigerator available were very nice. The breakfast was delicious, and it was nice to get to chat with other guests around the large table. Our only complaint was that we had hoped to spend time in the living room in the evening, but the record player didn’t work, the selection of games was scanty, and even if we had found a game to play, the lighting in both the living room and dining room was so dim that it would have been difficult to see to play. These slight deficiencies would be easy to correct, and overall this is a very nice place.

Merveilleux hôtel, parfaitement situé. Les chambres sont très spacieuses, avec une grande salle de bain très bien équipée. Check in très facile et petit déjeuner maison très appréciable. Un des meilleurs hôtels que nous ayons pu rencontrer.

Very nicely renovated large house.

Beautiful rooms with whimsical decor & gardens. Super cute. Good communication from staff via email re:what to expect for check in, as well as a personalized card in room with direct call info if any questions or problems. Very clean and comfy.

Lovely stay. Great breakfast.

Room (#1) was amazing- very large with a sitting area, high ceilings and comfortable bed. Air conditioning worked and parking was easy. There was a personal welcome note with a couple of treats. They even had free icecream sandwiches sticked in the freezer in the common area- who does that?! Breakfast was fine. I can’t think of any negatives- maybe just a note of caution- the toiletries in the bathroom are in glass bottles that can get a little slippery. Yes, I realize how nitpicky that sounds. I wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the August house and the area!

August House is beautiful. The personnel is very welcoming and courteous. We wished we could stay longer.
