I booked the Guildford House Hotel, but upon checking in I was checked into another hotel 2 doors down. The room was in the basement, there were no lights in the corridor to the room, the TV did not work. No hot water, the bed whilst clean looked old and tatty, a curtain and net which did not for the window. Only stay here if you need it for location.

So by London prices my stay was £105 for one night. However I feel that this price was far too high and I’ll list the negatives first. Room was very small. Decor was 1980’s and very poor The kettle was dirty. The bathroom was very small with shower next to toilet. There was a pubic like hair on my pillow and what looked like blood spots. The duvet cover has burn holes The toiletcistern lid was hanging off The hot water tap sometimes couldn’t be turned off all the time. The shower hot water was hard to operate. There were toenail clippings on the floor. It is in serious need of upgrade. Positives It was warm Was near transport links

Hotel was ok! 0.5 miles from King’s Cross. Close to everything by underground! Costa opposite!

Very dirty.

Very poor. Room the size of a cupboard. Broken wardrobe. Thick dust on lampshades. Bathroom smaller than wardrobe!

Cheap and good location, facilities as expected however, struggled to get hot water for the shower (we were told after we needed to leave the water running a long time. Staff were not very friendly and made us feel like we were an inconvenience for simply checking in! Facilities said luggage storage is available, it was but it was just left in the corner of the breakfast room - we appreciated it all the same. By far the worst thing (and the main reason for low scores and why we will NOT return) was that during our breakfast a staff member cleared his throat loudly and then spat into the bin next to the coffee machine - disgusting ! He then continued to clear tables ! We left immediately!

En av sällskapet var både gluten-och mjölkproteintolerant, ringde hotellet tre dagar innan och meddelade detta men det gick inte att ordna.

Das Frühstück war spartanisch. Das Zimmer ziemlich klein. Das Bad war sehr klein, eine Kabine mit Dusche und Waschtisch in einem. Das Personal war freundlich.

Beskidt, ulækkert og slidt over det hele. Vandet skulle løbe i 8 min før det blev varmt, og der var ikke tryk på strålen. Kun 2 gamle engelske stikkontakter i hele værelset. Der var opmagasineret et gammelt stykke gulvtæppe på værelset som jeg ikke tør tænke på hvor mange års støv det indeholdte.

Good points: location. Bad points: Smelly. Noisy. Dirty. Breakfast. Out of date milk in room. Dirty cups in room. Toilet/ shower room. Beds.

Location was the positive. Close to tube station. Hot room, very small and uncomfortable bed.

This place is really run down, worn out carpets, torn curtains, dirty showers.
