We like this hotel as the location is ideal for both the town centre and the Barbican with its choice of bars and restaurants. We did find a few things that could be improved but nothing that spoilt our stay
1) a bottle of water would be nice in the rooms
2) while our room had a coffee table not in an ideal location to be able to use it for cups as an ample supply of teas and coffees supplied or just to sit around.
3) Breakfast seemed a bit haphazard having to go to different rooms to get what you wanted, I’m sure back in the day breakfast was brought to you ?
Overall a nice stay.

Solid overall, with it being ideally located close to transport & town centre it was easy to get around.
If you're looking for something that is cheap but gives you a good value for money, then I'd recommend here.
If I'm ever back in the area, I'll book here again.

The car park is small so unless you arrive very early best to use the multistorey down the road. The room was clean and cool with the window open but the bathroom door wouldn't stay shut without using the dodgy lock. We're not big TV watchers but the tv was very small. We paid for breakfast £10 each which was a buffet and the food was hot and well cooked. The weather was very hot but the radiators were on full blast in the public areas. The hotel is a good base for the Barbican area and the harbour. We would stay there again

This is a GUEST HOUSE and not a hotel. I guess I misunderstood this. We came in after check-in was closed at 8:30 p.m. and didn't realize they closed. Radiators went off for a long time and the room was cold. Moisture from the roof was on one wall. Bathroom was clean and nice but small. Room was large. There was a door to a semi-balcony but we didn't have access to it. Breakfast was good. Breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. There was no refreshment of tea and milk. The bed was comfortable.
