very lovely place. I want to go again!

Very clean and smart room. Public areas are all very well kept and very nicely decorated with plenty of character. There is a very smart homely atmosphere. All the staff have been very friendly and professional. There was a maintenance problem, which couldn’t be resolved, but a suitable option was offered immediately - which we were happy with. Evening meal was very nice - a little pricey, but to be expected at a hotel in the Lake District. The gentleman running the bar (from Glasgow) was particularly chatty and attentive. Reception staff were lovely and the young lady who served us in the restaurant was very polite and professional (young lady with strawberry blonde hair tied back). Thank you - we had a very lovely stay.

Spotless staff wonderful everything needed for a relaxing stay

食事のクオリティがとても高いです。ボリュームも十分なので、滞在中はぜひホテルで食べるのをおすすめします。 建物の雰囲気、湖を臨む眺めはすばらしく、何枚もお気に入りの写真を撮ることができました スタッフは皆さん笑顔を絶やさず、驚くほどに親切です。 一方で、宿泊をする前に知っていれば、より快適な滞在にするための準備ができたという点もありました。 私たちがヨーロッパへの旅行経験に乏しかった事も影響していると思いますが、以下ご参考になれば幸いです。 主に日本人へのTips ・用意されているアメニティは最小限なので持参していきましょう。歯ブラシは必携です。 ・携帯スリッパがあると快適さがアップします。室内も完全に土足の文化なので。 ・モバイルの電波は極めて弱く不安定で繋がらないと思った方が良いでしょう。Wi-Fiも館内全体をカバーしてはいないので、少なくとも2階の客室では「繋がる事もある」くらいでした。ウェルカムレターに書かれているように、スマホは脇に置いて「何もしない」を楽しむつもりで来るのが良さそうです。 ・暖房機器はセントラルヒーティングのラジエーターのみです。触った事が無い方は、事前に利用方法を調べていくことをおすすめします。
 私たちはセントラルヒーティングを人生で初めて目にしたてため扱い方がわからず、機材が古くバルブ等の文字は掠れて消えていたり前述の通りのネット環境で調べるのも困難で、滞在中かなり寒い思いをしました。スタッフが一度部屋に来て調整してくれたのですが、少し経つと冷たくなってしまうし毎回呼ぶの訳にもいかず対処する事ができず、これだけは滞在上の困難でした。 館内全体が私たちの感覚では寒い温度で維持されていたので、セントラルヒーティングの基準温度自体が低めなのかもしれません。半袖のスタッフが「今の温度はモデレートだよ」と言っていたくらいなので。 ただ、体感温度は個人差によるものが大きいものです。 上記もホテルの責任ではなく、あくまで私が事前に把握しておけばより快適に過ごせた、という点に過ぎません。 初めての土地に赴くということは、自分のそれまでの「当たり前」とは異なる体験をすることなので、それも含めて良い体験をさせて頂いたと思います。

Great stay. Easy check in process and great staff. Breakfast was very good with a great selection available. Room was a good size and very well presented. Would recommend and return

Nice and qui

Everything was excellent but dinner menu was limited choice. Really enjoyed the pianist and the birds of prey display in the morning. Staff excellent. Cleanliness top notch.

My wife and I loved our stay at Lindeth Howe, we were made welcome their throughout our stay and nothing was to much. The hotel was superbly clean and with Beatrix Potter everywhere it made the place very homely. Would definitely return.

Very nice range of sitting areas and a lovely garden. Staff were very helpful and friendly

Overall the stay was nice and location was perfect. Service was ok, reception staff were friendly. One small criticism would be that they are not very accommodating when it comes to making small changes or eliminations to a meal in the restaurant, for example swapping out the chips in a meal to something else (which pretty much all restaurants do!). It would have also been nice to have the option to 'make your own' breakfast. Been to many 4 star hotels that offer this option. Other than that, we had a lovely stay.

Enjoyable stay with the family for a midweek break. Relaxed atmosphere and very clean throughout. Super breakfast and choice to choose from. Very friendly staff.

Some good gins on the bar menu. Very pleasant sitting room which was warm and cosy in cold rainy February. Room was very pleasant. Great setting within walking distance of Lake Windermere and Bowness.

Very friendly staff, gorgeous setting. Plenty of parking and delicious breakfast. Just be aware it’s a walk into Bowness - taxi’s only £5 into town.

The property itself was stunning and had amazing views of lake Windermere. Lovely bar and seating area. Staff were friendly and helpful. Also only a short walk into town which was easy and convenient. Would highly recommend!
