My wife and I loved our stay at Lindeth Howe, we were made welcome their throughout our stay and nothing was to much. The hotel was superbly clean and with Beatrix Potter everywhere it made the place very homely. Would definitely return.

Overall the stay was nice and location was perfect. Service was ok, reception staff were friendly. One small criticism would be that they are not very accommodating when it comes to making small changes or eliminations to a meal in the restaurant, for example swapping out the chips in a meal to something else (which pretty much all restaurants do!). It would have also been nice to have the option to 'make your own' breakfast. Been to many 4 star hotels that offer this option. Other than that, we had a lovely stay.

Very friendly staff, gorgeous setting. Plenty of parking and delicious breakfast. Just be aware it’s a walk into Bowness - taxi’s only £5 into town.

We booked a romantic weekend stay at Lindeth Howe after we saw the good reviews.
We have been staying in the South Lakes several times a year for over 30 years and used to own a property locally. However, we never got round to booking Lindeth Howe and we have now realised this was a big mistake. From now on this hotel will be our 'go to' hotel in the area.
The location was ideal, not too close to Bowwness which can get noisy and bustly yet close enough to walk in to.
The staff were very professional and very friendly. The hotel is packed with character and is beautifully decorated.
We had an evening meal which was excellent and reasonably priced. The breakfast was also excellent.
There was a man displaying owls in the garden at breakfast time who was also very friendly and keen to show off his very well kept birds.
All round an excellent experience which we will definetly repeat in future.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were excellent, they couldn't do enough for you. We booked a superior twin room through Expedia but they booked a superior double room, the staff went out of their way to change to a twin room. The room was clean but looked like a DIY job and didn't have a nice view but as Expedia had messed up and booked a double room we put up with it, there was no hot water in the shower but they did offer us a key for another room to shower the next morning

Lovely hotel with a beautiful views and a good background histories. The room is clean and tidy with good amenities. Staff is extremely friendly and provide very good advice for activities.
The breakfast was lovely on the first day of our day, unfortunately it went down in quality on the second day when it gets very busy.
Will recommend to people and love to visit again.

An absolutely stunning property with a lot of history. Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and warm welcome. Shown up to our room personally and given all the information we needed.
It’s located in a quiet, but beautiful area of the lakes. What we loved is you can still walk into Windermere and it was a beautiful walk down from the ferry nab port which is pretty much across the road (5 mins away).
The room was very clean, beautiful and had lovely amenities. It’s always the small touches, like gorgeous toiletries from Temple Spa. A Nespresso coffee machine, and bathrobes.
Breakfast was a great choice of hot and cold; they even had home made granola. and it’s rare that breakfast is included with the room price these days.
Drinks at the bar in the evening were lovely and the real fireplace gave it very cosy vibes.
We loved our stay so much, and we will be returning due to the high standards and kindness of the hotel. We felt really valued and everyone was so kind. Thank you for such a wonderful stay
