Chambre classe et lit confortable. Salle de bain équipée d’une baignoire et d’une douche. Haute qualité de prestation, largement au-dessus des standards habituels anglais.

Room was clean but a bit tatty, holes in curtains

Breakfast was 10/10. Rooms are lovely.

Clean room, with very comfortable bed. Quiet even though overlooking a busy street. Great shower/bathroom.

Don't judge by outside

Very nice hotel, close to railway station so ideal for me and without any noise. Stayed in a suite, very well laid out with plenty of room. My only negative comment would be one of the basins in the bathroom was stained which was a little visually off-putting, but no other concerns.

Ok

The service was up to the normal Malmaison level, the hotel itself is ok. It needs some maintenance - the lifts look tatty, the bathroom sink needed the drain clearing so the water actually ran out properly. It was ok for a 'bed for the night' but didn't feel premium.

Clean room

Room was clean and tidy. Bathroom clean. Made to feel welcome at check in. Breakfast was very enjoyable. Cooked to order and Yvette was welcoming and very attentive.

very cold bedroom room

Slightly disappointed considering its fantastic reviews. Arrived for a 1 night stay on the weekend, checked in slightly early which was great but was given a room on the third floor and advised to take the lift. Called both lifts down to the ground floor, got in the left one and chose floor 3 and a message saying “call locked” on the panel showed up, got out tried to call the second lift down but it never showed. Took the stairs to the room and the building is like a labyrinth. I advise you learn all the safety exits when you arrive to prevent any issues in an emergency. Got to the room and it was…ok. Nothing special and as someone who is sensitive to dust and allergens it felt very musty in the room. I struggled to sleep because of this. The room on the window had been installed in front of an old window so there was loads of mould in between the sweaty windows. One of the pillows had a hole in and the other side had black scuff marks all over. I had a street side bedroom and the noise was extremely off putting. The bars don’t close until gone 3am and then after they’ve emptied all their rubbish (bottles and glasses etc) the local Sainsbury’s took stock delivery at 5am so don’t expect an great sleep. Speaking of, the air-con unit rattled the entire night (even when turned off) it was actually easier to try and sleep with it on and not ratting as much…tried hard to give this hotel the benefit of the doubt but can’t recommend it.

Service is good but hotel is getting tired, needs some TLC. Also resembles a night club on a Saturday night so sleep before 11pm not recommended.

Not a great room in the basement, bad water pressure

Very quiet room apart from noisy people upstairs stomping about at 1.30 in the morning

The hotel was nice, close to train station, student var a few doors down was noisy. The reception staff were rude and disinterested. Restaurant staff where fantastic.
