Room was clean and tidy, most of staff was lovely,

Surprised that parking needed to be paid for but then no spaces. This should have been clear on booking.

The staff were very helpful,and if you wanted anything they were there to help,Room was clean but dated,could do with a little tender care,shower was ok,it was quiet through the night,breakfast was the best we have had for a long time bar was good could do with a couple extra beers on tap ,

Lovely hotel, although they have just closed for a refit there are still some areas that need doing .

You cancelled the rooms at the last minute without any explanation at all - truly terrible customer service!!

Spacious room with complete amenities

I was very pleased with most aspects of my stay; however, the absence of an in-room refrigerator was inconvenient. It necessitated frequent requests for ice and water, and I was disappointed when staff informed me that I would be charged for additional water requests. On a positive note, the staff were excellent. Julian, in particular, delivers top-tier customer service.

No heating in the room. Had to complain to get a noisy air heater which didnt arrive until after 11pm. Lift stopped working during the evening and i was on top floor. Room was noisy from neighbouring rooms.

Checked in online and still had to fill out forms at the desk. Room wasn't clean, soiled carpet, hairs in the bath, bathroom light not working, bed very uncomfortable, 2 single beds stuck together, and a baby cot left in ro

Brilliant location, lovely room

Room needed love, stains on carpet, pencil mark on wall, chipped paint on wood work, no toilet roll .... fire alarm at 5:40, staff didn't know what to do, no seniors staff at the hotel.

Lovely spacious room, super cosy bed and good breakfast

Don’t know about the bar. Breakfast was as expected. The usual fare and was ok.

Hotel was a clean and comfortable stay. However, the TV didn’t work in the room and considering I was travelling with my 4yo and in bed by 7pm this was a bit inconvenient. Tried maintenance but they couldn’t fix it.

Few positives and few negatives about our stay. We arrived at the hotel around 11am and tried to check in but obviously this was not possible as we knew the check in was 3pm but we thought we would try anyway. Onto actual checking in at 3pm, we were told our room was not ready as the housekeeping were behind, I personally think this isn’t good enough as 3pm is a late check in time as it is. Staff told us they would come get us from the bar when this is ready, but I had to ask again at 4pm if it was ready. During the 3 day stay we heard numerous of guests complain about the paying for parking, rooms not looking how they are advertised. We also admit that paying for parking shouldn’t be a thing as we are already paying a premium to stay here. However, we thought our room was up to standard and as advertised. We had breakfast both mornings and ate for tea at night one night, we think the food was great and the service was excellent from the staff. The lift had stopped working from the moment we arrived, this was also a very small lift that couldn’t fit more than 4 people in (also suitcases) and our room was the 4th floor. The walls within the rooms are paper thin, we can hear absolutely everything from other rooms. One big negative from us is that the hotel across the road, Britannia hotel, has recently closed down and become an illegal imigrant hotel. They hang around the hotel in small groups and the mess along the street was awful. We did feel safe(ish) but others may not.
