The hotel was great, lovely room, views and grounds. We would definitely return again if we're in Sheffield.

So pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Will return. Staff doing an excellent job. Bar staff were brilliant. Sure it’s a tiny bit dated compared to some newer gleaming places. But I’ll take the value and warm welcome any day. Just a better heads up about the alarm test next time please. I’m sure it was in an email or something but I was too tired when arriving to take notice :-).

Staff friendly and check in was very easy with Nicky. Room was good but everything is a bit tired like worn carpet’s and stains in the bathroom but it was clean. The heating in the room is good. The beds are very soft and not very sturdy which could be a problem if you have a bad back. My only gripe was being awoken in the night by other noisy guests as the walls are not very thick. The fitness centre is decent, again old equipment but everything is clean. I would stay here again but probably not for more than two nights. Parking is also good.

This hotel has underinvested in both its maintenance and staffing. Only one member of staff on duty at breakfast. My bedroom curtains had blood splatter across them, along with a broken wardrobe door and a bathroom door that would not fully open. Grim is really not the word! The grounds have homeless men wandering around.

The receptionist, I think her name was Lisa, was lovely and a great help.

All the staff were so polite and courteous and made us feel welcome. The room was clean and warm The bath needed re-enamelling and we had an adjoining room which you could here the room next door

We did stay for 11 nights, I asked for a fridge several times for such a long stay but they never got back to me! Room was fine - the shower is over a very narrow bath tub which is tricky to get in and out of. Nice gym, pool and beautiful grounds to walk in. Nice location, close to Ecclesall rd. The buffet breakfast was good. Reception was very helpful - Lisa was great

It's a bit run down and the breakfast and coffee machine was pretty low quality. I like the Nespresso pods in the room for coffee though.

Great stay and massive thank you to Nicola. What a legend, super kind and accommodating. Made our stay even better than what it would’ve been.

Monica cleaned the room really well and we felt looked after. The staff were friendly over Xmas period and we were even given a Xmas gift. Thank you.

Lovely hotel with free parking and very friendly staff. The bed, however, was like a bouncy castle so had bery little sleep. Nether Edge is a beautiful area of Sheffield.

The newer part - where my room was - was functional, if not beautiful, but lovely and clean and comfortable, with gorgeous linen and towels. The older part was really lovely and very worth preserving and maintaining. The absolute best part of my stay was the staff. All impeccable, friendly and professional. Thank you Warlei for my clean, fresh room; Charley and Ellise on the front desk, Paul and Chloey in hospitality as well as all the rest of the team who worked so hard. You’re all marvellous!

Hotel was a nice place but very tired and in need if decoration. Hitek receptuin staff were lovely. Breakfast was good Evening meals were the worst I have had in a long time. Supermarket bread rolls, raw steak, slow service, freezing cold restaurant. So cold couldnt eat desert. Spoke to a manager who promised to rectify meal problems. Still waiting despite several emails.

what the property needs in updates is more than made up for by the amazing staff: Elise, Ranjan, Nicola, Steph (and more whose names I didn't get)

We only stayed 1 night for a wedding but should've have booked for longer. The staff are friendly, the grounds, hotel and rooms are stunning. Very clean, the bed was enormous.

Very fresh breakfast, clean, modern and a lot of nice extras.
