Our first family trip inside of UK due to our children having a mid-term break. The staff are very friendly and it's very comfortable as a 4-star hotel. When we arrived at the hotel and we want to use a swimming pool but unfortunately, they are cleaning the pool so we can't use it for first day. Many families are there for their holiday so they should not clean during the weekend. The weather was so terrible with raining and windy so we could not go for the trip. Please keep it your mind that they don't have a hairdryer and no complimentary water and fruit and no minibar. So I suggest you prepare those I mentioned above. The menu for the breakfast buffet was just an ordinary English style that you can find anywhere in a three-star hotel.

They need to upgrade their bed to igel and good fabric and their rugs

We came a few years ago and enjoyed ourselves so returned. Unfortunately, this trip wasn't as enjoyable. There wasn't the 'wow' Christmas tree like before and the breakfast wasn't so varied and servers lacking expected customer services standards; boardering on rude. The reception and housekeeping staff were polite and helpful. Unfortunately I'm unlikely to return.

Needs attention to detail, bathroom a bit grubby, grouting and bath needed attention. Wanted a bath.. Didn’t want to have as the bath was damaged and bathroom felt grubby Bed sheet wasn’t a bed sheet and didn’t fit, didn’t notice until we went to bed just after midnight

We were staying at the Marriott over Christmas as we currently live in the US and were back visiting family. It was a shame that as of 24 Dec - and with no prior notice, the dinner menu was reduced drastically, removing a number of dishes that my wife - a coeliac who must have gluten free food, could have eaten which resulted in us having to rely on gluten free snack items (quiche and crisps) from Tesco.

Clean room

Check in was quick and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, very clean and well equipped. The breakfast offered plenty of options.

The room was very spacious and clean. Great toiletries too. The offer decaf tea in the room too. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and very tasty. Staff were all wonderful

The room and facilities were fine, however the art work in the bedroom did nothing for us.

The room was spotless. Bathroom - great shower good water pressure and lovely smelling body wash. Staff friendly great breakfast buffet.

Was quite pleasantly surprised after reading reviews on trip adviser. Room was nice bed comfy the bar was nice and food was nice. The only slightly little complaint was the bar service was a little bit hard getting service I think when the manager was on a break.

Very pleased with room and service. Found the open design of the restaurant made it feel rather cold.

Great staff at reception. Stuffy room hot with no air, bone hard mattress.

The room was spacious. The bathroom good only gtipe is the toilet was so close to bath everytimr you sat down your derriare scraped against the sharp corner..also thr bed was huge but very hard it was like lieing on a table plus the pillows were far too soft but thats preference i suppose. Room was hot we turned air con down to its lowest but stil dry and hot uncomfortable so i did not sleep well at all.food good at buffet. Staff friendly.
