Ruby STELLA HOTEL LONDON by IHG

We were so pleased about the quality of the hotel. As shown in the photos, it looks almost brand new facility. It was good for family trip but will be also great for a biz trip as the location not that far from the core downtown of London. Highly recommend!

unfortunately i was awake all night at this property, my room was next door to the cleaning area and it was non stop door slamming all through the night.

We loved staying at the Ruby Stella. A very cool hotel. Lovely vibe & great staff. Situated in a good position in London.

Lovely friendly staff, very clean, excellent bar area and great rooms. Small but adequate. Great location for Clerkenwell, Greys Inn Road etc.

Clean room and friendly staff

We had an overall lovely stay at Ruby Stella and stayed for three nights, from Friday to Monday. We arrived early on the day of check-in and were pleasantly surprised to be able to check in straight away, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the air conditioning in our original room. It made a loud noise that made it impossible to sleep. As we were out and about all day, we didn’t notice it until we went to bed, which resulted in us having to change rooms late at night. As there are no in-room phones and we were travelling from overseas, we had to go down to reception in our pyjamas to sort this out — not ideal. The staff member kindly mentioned that we would receive a small upgrade due to the inconvenience (which we hadn’t asked for), but when we moved rooms — after packing up and changing floors — the new room appeared to be exactly the same. This felt a bit odd, as it was mentioned but not followed through. Another confusing point was that our card was charged before we had even checked in, despite the booking stating that payment would be made at the hotel. In some cases, guests don’t necessarily secure a booking with the same card they intend to pay with, so clearer communication here would be appreciated.

One lift broken, no access to stairs and very slow. Shower was lukewarm at best. Even the lovely room was very tight. My wife hurt her legs getting around the bed. Not keen on the glass/open shower toilet combo.

Ruby Stella is a hidden gem! Within walking distance to Covent garden, oxford street and lots of shopping. Everything about our stay was perfect. Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy beds, amazing breakfast, and late night food offerings. My boyfriend and I loved everything about it.

Really neat little hotel in a great location

Overall was a good place to stay. The breakfast was good but a bit odd. The location lets this hotel down

The staff are super accommodating. Rooms and common areas are well kept. Each floor has a coffee and tea bar that is open 24/7.

Stay was perfect. Only issue was I asked at reception if I had paid for a breakfast. They said no so I paid £36 for two. Transpires that the breakfast was free through hotels.com
