The Comet London Hatfield

Amazing art deco building which looks to have been recently renovated we were fortunate to be in a room located in the original building thats was clean comfortable and great facilties, staff were all very pleasant and accommodating good location for a short trip into St Albans if i had to find a fault it would only have been the location of the staff room next to our room which had the door banging continuously in the early hours, but its an old building so perhaps sound proofing not great in the 20's so didn't mention this at the time of the stay

Not the best stay, had someone walk into our room at 8am so woke us up not sure why someone would when they don’t even offer cleaning for one day stays so ruined our morning in, also our bed was two single beds push together which were not the same level so bad a massive ditch in the middle of the bed which made for a very uncomfortable sleep.

Friendly staff, quick check in, happy with room service. The room was really lovely, so clean, and unbelievably comfortable.

Not so good. Expensive bar prices with a discretionary 10% service charge that was more than 10%. Evening meal and drink for one cost more than room. Poor signal made tv unwatchable. Looked out on to car park. Room was hard to temperature control

Very comfortable stay, and staff friendly and accommodating. It was the second time we have stayed at The Comet, and we will definitely be returning.

Please don’t book a suite at this hotel if you have multiple suitcases. They don’t have elevators to the suites. Lady at check in was unnecessarily cold - very poor service. More like a 2 star hotel.

Very clean and quiet

It's truly amazing. Newly revamped with all the USB plugs you need. Modern Bathroom and clean room. Free parking with plenty of spaces just in front of the hotel. Will definitely come again.

We both agreed that we would stay at the Comet again. Everything was great. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was large and had everything we needed. The bed was also queen size and was made every day. The area is quiet so conducive to sleep. The hotel restaurant and pub had first class food and beverages. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very comfortable rooms and a well presented hotel. Excellent standard of service from all the staff here - leaves many comparably priced hotels in the shade.

An ultra modern hotel with zero conveniences. The king suite we booked was up a very steep flight of stairs & our alternative ground floor king faced a busy roundabout. UGH. Average overall, instant nescafe in-room coffee is awful - glad we only stayed one night.

Excellent location right near the motorway with surprisingly good sound proofing. The staff were helpful and the restaurant was lovely.

Really happy with our visit. The hotel and facilities far exceeded our expectations. Spacious and comfortable room. Large shower in a nice bathroom. Big comfy bed. And everything was clean and tidy. We would happily stay here again

A very comfortable stay in Hatfield , not a popular destination for most travellers, but was ideal for myself, partly for business collecting a car and partly pleasure, orienteering in the town . However it is conveniently placed if travelling by car literally next to the A1 (not close enough for any noise,) and also multiple bus links, plus opposite the popular Galleria shopping centre. A large modern bedroom, with a very comfortable bed, in the adjoing building . Facing student accommodation to the rear, which may have more noise if term-time as some reviews mention. The room facilities are ok with tea & coffee and adequate bathroom. The onsite restaurant may not be the cheapest but evening meals are very tasteful. (There is a nearby Wetherspoons too!) I would recommend this hotel , especially as not many alternatives in the immediate area, but very comfortable and reasonable price.

Room service was disgusting it made me vomit after!!!! Air con was broken room was ROASTING and they said they can’t provide me with a fan! Awful experience!!!
