The rooms need a complete refurbish very old fashioned, carpet torn, skirting boards in bathroom damaged, bath not suitable as my mum couldnt get in to shower bathroom all out dated. Food in bar curry was amazing, steak bites was terrible for how much they cost. Staff was great.

Room was very dated, Bathroom was in poor condition, shower hose split so shower was poor. Bed was comfy. Had to tune the tv to get it to work. Not a hotel i would choose to stay at again.

My second stay here. Good base for visiting the surrounding area, short walk to the town for lots of eating and drinking options. Hotel restaurant has a good, varied menu. Nice big hardstanding car park, staff friendly and helpful. Good size room. Plenty of storage.

Extremely basic very dated, i had to go to the kitchen to return my room key tha k heavens i never ate there.

Unfortunately there was a few tiles missing from the roof which let in pigeons, at around 4.30am on both morning of my stay they started to coo and run around above the ceiling making quite a racket...reported the issue to the hotel who said that they were getting someone out that day to sort the issue, food was good.

Very small room but it was warm and comfortable. I should have asked for a ground floor room for my mum but thats my fault.

Perfect for our trip, the hotel is a little tired but that didn't bother us. Staff were pleasant and location excellent.

Cold room. Radiator in bathroom not working,controls broken and in terrible condition the one in the bedroom only Luke warm , valves ceased up and broken. The staircase banister was covered with plastic Christmas decorations making it impossible to use as a support, especially the elderly. Definitely not a hotel I would recommend or should be on Hotels.com. After many years of using you this has been far the worst experience.

The room looked like it was recently decorated but there is deeper things that need attention. We were on the first floor of the stables , everytime you walked on it there was a loud creaking noise, felt sorry for the people below. The same was on the stairs & hallway, so loud it sounded like they were in the room. The furniture in the room is definitely in need of renewing along with the bed. The place looks impressive on the internet but we wouldn’t stay here again.

Overall it was a good stay apart from creaky floor boards in all rooms & no hair dryer

Room out dated

The accommodation was not in the nice, well presented, large house. I'm unsure if there is any accommodation there, which would be above the restaurant. Our accommodation was in an out-house. It was poorly constructed with squeaky ceilings and loud plumbing. The people staying above us liked to walk a lot around the room, which didn't help, but fortunately they were quiet overnight. When they were having a shower or flushing the toilet all the water ran through pipes located in our room, so this was very noisy!! The actual room had dated furniture and the skirting boards which could do with a lick of paint, but the room was clean and tidy and included all the basics including tea and coffee making facilities, 1 set of towels (apparently you can ask for more) and a fan. The bed was very comfortable, although we were pleased to have brought additional pillows with us, as they only provide one each. We had a good nights sleep on it. The room reminded me of an American motel room as it was accessed straight from outside. The outside doors looked nice from the outside with a small window, but these windows need recovering as they let light in, which can be disturbing at night. You can park right outside, which is useful and they own a restaurant, which we didn't use, but this is also useful. We drove into town to eat. Overall I would stay again for a short stop over, but not in the summer as it was too warm even in September. I would request an upstairs room if I stayed again

Adequate, staff were great. Room dated and a bit dirty and the shower was too hot to get in - be careful as the water was almost scolding hot and unable to turn it down.
