Clean and warm room. Usual difficulty getting any shower gel out of the fixed bottles. No staff during the night. Monday and Tuesday no evening service in the dining room or bar!! Excellent meal at The Lion over the road! Would visit again.

Bedroom heating was not good, needed to get an additional heater from reception. Breakfast quality and service has deteriorated since last visit.

The road noise in the room was very loud. The room was cold when we first arrived and the water was not that hot.

The room was lovely and the staff were fantastic. Watch out if you arrive on a Monday or Tuesday evening as it's not open and check in is via a intercom. Food in the restaurant was amazing both at Breakfast and Dinner.

Been here before and still a lovely stay , warm welcome , lovely rooms and the restaurant was absolutely excellent, staff five stars

Nice big room and shower

Excellent from start to finish. The room was very clean and felt comfortable, with a delightful view over the garden. We had a couple of drinks in the bar which was nice and relaxing. We later had dinner in the restaurant, with a nice selection of dishes and again a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast was lovely, the wife had boiled eggs and soldiers, they were perfect with nice runny yokes. My full English breakfast was excellent with a perfectly cooked poached egg. All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional, they really helped to make our stay a good one!!

Always enjoy my stays here - a lovely boutique hotel. Definitely recommend

Historic setting, great breakfast, easy parking

Great location for the National Trust property and Bicester Village

We really enjoyed our stay. The service from the staff was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious. We booked a Deluxe Double Room, which was clean and had a very comfortable bed. It was also beautifully furnished. Some previous reviewers mentioned a bit of wear and tear, which we also noticed, but it was very minor. After reading earlier reviews, we requested a quiet room, which we were given, and we’re glad we did as we hadn’t appreciated how busy the road outside could be. That said, while the room was lovely, we did feel it was a little pricey for its size. If you’re planning to dine in the restaurant, we’d recommend booking a table in advance as we did. We were there on a Saturday night and it was completely full. Breakfast was fantastic too - we really can’t fault the food. One thing we were initially disappointed about was discovering on arrival that Waddesdon Manor was closed for the weekend, despite our confirmation email stating we could enter free of charge. The hotel simply pointed out that the closure was noted on the manor’s website, but we do feel the hotel should have informed us directly. That said, it actually worked out well in the end as we enjoyed some fabulous, peaceful walks around the grounds, which were wonderfully quiet because the manor was closed. Overall, a great stay with excellent service and incredible food. We would happily return.

We've just had a two night stay. We were made to feel very welcome. The staff are friendly, thoughtful and considerate. Sally was particularly helpful, putting us in a lovely quiet room in the coachhouse, thank you Sally! Also, thank you to Michelle, again very thoughtful in seating us in a quiet little corner of the restaurant for breakfast. The hotel is full of character and history, our room was very clean and comfortable, well done to Julie and the housekeeping staff! All in all a lovely place to stay with a genuine family atmosphere among the staff!

Very nice hotel though we had to find food elsewhere on the sunday evening and the bar closed early. Plenty of parking and polite staff.

Odd check in but worked fine, nice comfy bed and good size room

Beautiful room, delicious breakfast with lots of choice.

We enjoyed our stay at The Five Arrows in a lovely suite which was cosy and relaxing. The staff were friendly and attentive and the breakfast service was prompt and courteous.

Breakfast good. Terrible check in with ‘security’. Noisy room with road traffic noise all night. Green ceiling light shining in room all night. Poor lighting in bathroom. Difficult to regulate hot water in bathroom.

A wonderful older hotel and restaurant. I stayed in the tiny single room - this is not a complaint, it’s a great little room for one person. Some people in reviews have complained about road noise - they should be realistic about their expectations. It’s an old property right next to a road.
