The staff were excellent and a real credid to the hotel, nothing was too much for them. The room itself was clean and well equipped. I would definitely recomend it and stay again.

Helpful and professional friendly staff. Time ideally s situated for a quiet stay. The Spa and sports facilities very clean and 4 at least rooms, stream sauna etc Jacuzzi really large and hot.

We stayed in room 2 Delightful room but windows were very drafty they could do with new windows

The room was great, clean and spacious. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the Fat Abbot! the staff work so Hard on what was a very busy evening. Lovely Spa area with large swimming pool, sauna etc. The only issue was the jacuzzi was broken, a slight disappointment however this does not detract from what was a wonderful stay.

All round, a very good experience. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating, especially at breakfast.

Hotel was very clean & cozy. The spa was lovely & the breakfast has a wide choice of things, everyone we spoke to were friendly & pleasant & it was hot which is always good! Only complaint was that there was only one plug in the room. Definitely need more plug sockets to charge atleast 2 phones & use hair dryers or straighteners.

Helpful staff, beautiful building and the room was well cared for. Onsite spa and pool were lovely and the breakfast was fabulous.

Friendly staff/ free use of spa/the staff in the restaurant, at breakfast were very efficient, which is a major improvement on last visit.

My new husband and I stayed here as part of our mini-moon and loved it. The spa was wonderful but the main pool a bit cool for me, my husband enjoyed it though. We had dinner at the Fat Abbott and it was gorgeous! Staff were wonderful. Slept very well, bathroom could do have been a little cleaner and the rooms lovely for a standard but could do with a little update in my opinion. Facilities were super (decent hair dryer and shower gel). Breakfast was spot on. Loved it, we only live down the road so will be back 😊

Room had a comfortable bed, had a good nearby restaurant.

Staff were lovely, a number of cobwebs in our room. It would’ve took no more than 10 minutes with a hose of a hoover nozzle to have got them off the ceiling and in the corners of the room, when we push the two single beds together there was also dirt underneath the beds other than that the room was of a reasonably high standard of cleanliness. The bathroom was fine outside areas needed some attention doors to be painted woodwork chipped some windows showing signs of decay. It was also autumn so to be fair the grounds were covered in leaves and there was quite a bit of green moss about. Parts are tired.
