Stayed for a couple of days with my family (2 adults and 2 teenagers)in the beginning of July. We loved it. Nice and quiet atmosphere and great staff. Didn’t have any expectations on the roof top with the pool but it was a great hang out place with a view of Akropolis. Nice and clean room. Good breakfast and food. Not situated in the direct city center, but in a quiet area and on a really good walking distance from everything. Always walk in the direction of the city center to avoid the more rough neighbourhood on the other side and you will always be safe (our Uberdriver warned us when we arriverat). Our stay was wonderful and we will surely book here again if we return to Athens. We highly recommend it!

Staff was amazing. Rooftop pool was refreshing with an amazing sunset view and peek through the buildings view of the Acropolis. We had a room with 2 bunkbeds and private bathroom. Air condition worked well. Bunk beds are squeaky when you move or get out of bed. Our room was across from the public bathroom/showers so a bit on the noisy side, so bring ear plugs. No TV in room, we went to the lounge/kitchen to hang out for a bit before bed and watch tv. Close walking distance to shopping and eating. Not such a great area walking the other direction. Small menu for lunch/dinner and the restaurant. They held our luggage prior to getting our room and after checking out.

The property itself was well maintained and clean. Reception was helpful. They have several conservation measures in place. The air conditioning automatically shut off which was unfortunate. (We had two rooms and opening and closing the doors would trigger it to power down. Evidently, it’s so that people don’t leave the windows open while running the air conditioner.)
The area around Okupa is lackluster. There was rubbish scattered on the ground, bars on the windows of nearby properties, vagrants in the streets, and it smelled of urine.
Recommend the Monastiraki train station (versus Kerameikos). Thissio is the best but requires a transfer to the green line.

Wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt. Die Zimmer sind modern, schön eingerichtet und angenehm geräumig. Das gesamte Personal war jederzeit freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben sind der Beamer im Zimmer sowie der Wasserspender, beides tolle Extras, die den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer machen. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

The room was thoughtfully designed, airy and bright. The projector was a cool addition! But the sound plays out of the projector itself so the volume needs to be up pretty loud. Appreciated the filtered water available in the hall. The walls are pretty thin and you can hear everything in the hallways and when the doors slam shut. Definitely choose to pay extra for breakfast for the Greek yogurt and made to order eggs.
Lastly the staff was incredible. A small but mighty team who were extremely helpful from checking in to allowing us to store our bags post check out.

Very nice place to stay nice people delicious food close by walking distance from the subway and other good places to travel. I would definitely recommend it if you come from United States bring your international adapter to be able to charge your phone.

Very happy with my stay! Staff are wonderful, super nice and helpful. The curtains around the bed are wonderful with a little light and charging opportunities.
The rooftop patio was amazing (just sucks when you cant get out the door). They have a restaurant downstairs and its quiet (there is enough space between the restaurant and the rooms).
Only wish there were more hooks in the rooms / lockers.

It was not worth the price I paid (250 euros). If it were half the price my review would be better. Room was very basic. No in room amenities. They would not help bring my bags to the room (we had 4 large bags). Just not what I was expecting.
