메라키 부티크 호텔

It is a boutique hotel with comfortable beds, good AC and a great breakfast. The rooms are small but comfortable and the hotel is well run and in a good location. The staff are very helpful and the 24 hour front desk ensured that I got to the airport at 3:30AM. I'll stay there again.

El personal due cortés, amable e hizo todo porque estuvieramos comodos y disfrutaramos la estancia en Guatemala. Más de lo que debian. El cuarto estaba limpio, amplio y comodo y el desayuno muy bueno. Gracias

El check-in se retrasó. Estuvimos en recepción más de 20 minutos y la persona encargada no aparecía. Después tuvimos que cambiar de habitación, ya que la habitación no tenía ventanas y el olor a humedad era muy fuerte. La recepcionista nos cambió de habitación, pero nos pidió 15 minutos para preparar la otra habitación. Cuando me di cuenta, salió con toallas y algunos artículos en las manos. Supongo que arreglar la habitación, que ya estaba limpia, consistía en retirar las toallas y los artículos de baño, dejando solo lo necesario para dos personas. Podría haberlo disimulado mejor, ya que fue desagradable ver que la habitación estaba arreglada, pero solo era para retirar las toallas sobrantes. El hotel está limpio y las camas son buenas. Los empleados hablan poco, no son muy amables y su comportamiento sugiere que no debemos molestarlos. Esa fue la impresión que tuvimos. El desayuno no compensa. Pedimos el plato continental y nos trajeron: dos rebanadas de pan, un poco de mermelada, margarina (no era mantequilla) y un bol con fruta. Había café. La comida es escasa y, al segundo día, fuimos a San Mártir a comprar pan para completar el desayuno. Hay otras opciones de desayuno, pero la comida es escasa. En resumen: hotel limpio, para dormir, bien ubicado. El resto es muy diferente a todos los hoteles en los que nos alojamos en Guatemala, que eran muy sencillos, pero mucho más agradables. El segundo piso huele a moho, lo que puede ser un problema para las personas alérgicas.

Clean, centrally located, pleasant staff, with a nice boutique hotel vibe

I love this hotel. I travel alone. It is centrally located with anything you would want a short walk away. You can have Papa John's Pizza (which is far superior here than in Canada, then go to P.F. Chang for supper. Shopping is nearby. If you want to eat local fare, you can find it everywhere. There is a delightful coffee shop next door. The staff are great. Come here.

My first time here was a year ago. I love this place. It’s Central. It’s efficient. The staff are so friendly.

Clean room.

We stayed at this hotel because we were flying out early in the morning and were trying to get a good rest but there was some noise from people walking and talking loudly up and down the hall going to the patio late at night. Other than that we were happy with the room, the location, and the service. They arranged our transportation to the airport and the driver was punctual. They also packed some snacks for us that we were able to eat on the plane since we didn't get to have breakfast at the hotel.

This hotel has a beautiful reception and grounds. A few birds also add to the charm. The room however, is kind of basic. Had 2 double beds and a bunk bed. So tiny if there are 4 or more people. The bathroom sorely lacks. There is neither toilet paper nor any place to hang it from. There isn't even a hook for a towel. Wifi was a hit or a miss. I must say, the staff is excellent, the location is good and we did have a view of the mountains.

Good hotel with very good location

Cute hotel, comfortable room, and kind staff. Its in a great location too. We will be staying here again.

A moça que nos recebeu na recepção está extremamente gentil. Quarto perfumado para nos receber.

Pros: great location, extremely friendly staff. Cons: incorrect information re. the airport/hotel transfer cost. Although it was advertised as $15 roundtrip but in our case it was $12 just one way. Also, add at least 30 minutes of waiting time regardless the specified pick up time. No hot water from the faucet.
