새로 지은지 얼마 되지 않은 호텔. 방도 욕실도 좋은데 객실 문짝과 프런트는 수리 보강이 필요함

We found this stay just adequate. Reykjavik is an expensive city for travelers and we saved a bit by staying here. The location was fair but farther from a bus stop, shops, or restaurants than we would like. The market on Skipholt street opens at 10. Early arrival was difficult, with no good place to rest. Luggage storage was self-service. The lobby area felt unfinished and without comfortable seating. Rooms were a bit cramped and lacking in basics like bedside tables. Euro electrical outlets and no USB (A store across the street sold adapters for those that forget). Bathrooms were awkwardly designed. Beds were fairly comfortable, though. There is no regular staff on site with messages only. Sometimes we found responses to be unhelpful. Finding breakfast was challenging - plan ahead. This property works best for those that are on a budget, like to self manage, like to be away from busyness and like to walk quite a bit.

This place has the potential to be great, but it felt much more like a hostel than a hotel. There is an elevator for luggage, but you are pretty much guaranteed to still have to lug bags up and down random, confusing flights of stairs. It felt like being in an Escher picture. There is no staff on site, so you are on your own to figure things out. The shower flooded our room; I had to get about seven towels to build a dam to just keep the shower water out of the main room. And even though it was 12 C degrees outside, there was only a tiny window that opened a total of 5 cm (at most) causing our room to be 30 C with no fan and no draft -- really hard to sleep when you're sweating.

The set up of the bathroom needs much improvement as the water from shower could not be drained away properly. The whole toilet was flooded with water after one of us took the shower and the water remained on the floor even on the next morning. The maintenance team was helpful but only able to tidy up the bathroom after the issue was reported.

Clean room.

Check-in online is terible, their app does not work and sending personal documents photos through their sketchy website is not normal or needed. No one is there to receive you, you can only talk to some remote customer support... It took more than an hour to manage to settle everything. I then asked for an early check-in (1PM instead of 3PM). They charge me 25$ for this and asked me to send the money through some sketchy app. Then they ask me to send the proof of payment to some other e-mail, but the payment app gave me no invoice or anything. I then receive another e-mail confirmation saying that my room will be ready at 3PM. I asked and they confirmed that this was automated and it will be available at 1PM. Got there at 1PM, the entry code didn't work... Tried to call but there is no reception in this building. Had to do everything from outside and lost about another 30 minutes there. On one of the nights, the fire alarm went off while we were asleep. We had to get outside in our underwear with no one being reachable. Their phone number would not answer or directly hang up on us. I finally managed to reach them through the chat to be told they already knew. This whole thing took a good 45 minutes... The heat in the bathroom cannot be turned off. It was heating the whole room day and night and felt suffocating. Opening the window makes you hear all the construction noise.. My girlfriend was sick during this whole time, all those annoyance made us spend a terrible stay.

A great location close to everything! Very clean and free parking

While I understand that this is a self serve hotel, there should be staff available to remedy problems or fix things that are broken. Door code didn’t work when we arrived (appears they didn’t program it for the correct time), fan in our room was broken, room was stifling hot with no airflow or air conditioning and they did NOTHING to resolve the issues.

The experience with the room was so simple. Check-in was all on my phone and the entrance was with a code. Everything in the room was clean and worked. Would stay here again!

El hotel estaba genial, pero las instrucciones de entrada no eran muy exactas. - El código de acceso al alojamiento no nos lo dieron y perdimos 20 minutos entre que lo encontramos y luego resulta que tuvimos qu ellamar porque no estaba el código en las indicaciones. - El código de acceso a la sala principal con acceso a agua y café tampoco nos lo dieron, porque nos lo abrió una limpiadora, pero no teniamos el código para salir y entrar. - Las habitaciones son muuuuuuy buenas, de lo mejorcito de la ciudad, pero algo incómodo si llevas equipaje grande, al menos a mi me tocó subir y bajar escaleras con equipaje pesado y no había ascensor hasta mi habitación.

Great hotel and clean! That's very important for me! The breakfast was very simple. It was brought in a small bag at your hotelroom, with a limited number of sandwiches.

I was struggling if I should give the place 3 or 4 stars but decided on 3. This is a self service hotel and I knew that before. The room and the property are good (rooms starting to show it's age when though its rather new) and stayed there before and it was really good. Between my stays one thing changed the communication. They have clearly outsourced the communication and communicating was a struggle. I did not receive my code so I needed to call and ended up in what felt like a random call center were I could barely hear the guy on the line. At first they did not want to send me the code via mail and only wanted to tell me through the phone.. dunno why but in the end I was told to call back once I was at the property but in the meantime they all of a sudden the guy I talked to could send me the code so I did not need to call again.

Quiet clean property. The added breakfast option was a nice treat in the mornings before tours. Property very secure.

Remote staff was very helpful. Room was very clean. Parking was available on the street and behind property.

We had to pay for our own transportation. The room was clean, very limited amenities, the staff was not at the location so we needed to call for assistance when we could not open the door with the code. The limited breakfast was hanging on a hook outside of the door in the open. We were not aware we would receive anything so were surprised to find when we returned from a day away.

Room was perfect as long as you dont expect to sleep! The noise from the ventilation was so loud! I was emailing till 4am trying to get it fixed and i was so angry and frustrated i demanded a new hotel. They didn't fix the ventilation, all they did was offer me another room.... which is also connected to the noisy ventilation system. I asked for refund for my remaining days so i could pay for a new hotel but they refused. AWFUL AWFUL experience. Avoid at all costs!

Great location, and room is not fancy, but was exactly what I needed. The breakfast - rustic, but REALLY good... croissant, bun, jam, cheese, butter, fruit and a juice. Simple and so good!
