Very nice hotel. Staff, service was excellent. We had a wonderful breakfast with the host coming in to sing Molly Malone with all of us! It made our day!

We were a family of four in a family room. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The room itself was small but comfortable. Breakfast was pleasant and delicious—worth the cost if you have an appetite and want to fill up. The location was convenient while away from the crowds. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

If you are looking for a great Hotel in a great location. This hotel is not it! I wanted it to be. I was so excited to bisit Dublin. It is uninviting esthetically, bad smelling and a bit depressing. Expect a 20 -30 minute walk at minimum to get anywhere or you have to take a tram. There is very little around here and the neighborhood is industrial. The first thing we noticed the stench of fish when you walk in the hotel. The 5th floor also had a bad smell. The toilet did not flush and the hot water faucet in the sink was also broken. The night staff were polite but unhelpful when I came down about half a hour after arriving and explained how upset I was and that I wanted to cancel the stay and go elsewhere. I was told it was too late to cancel for a refund and that I would need to speak to the day staff to see if anything could be done to cancel the last night of our stay. I was practically in tears and honestly being my first impression of Dublin I was ready to leave and go home that is how upset I was. The day staff were very pleasant and the toilet was immediately fixed but not the sink. I emailed the hotel after I spoke to the reception desk; I never heard back from the hotel. This surprised me since before arrival they messaged several times. They have a decent breakfast buffet but all the pastries are extremely dry.

We enjoyed our stay at Ashling so much that we stayed an extra two days at the end of our ten day tour. Everything was on par... Clean room, wonderful staff and a great buffet breakfast. Highly recommend staying there!

We had a wonderful experience at Ashling hotel. From the time we arrived until we left the service and ambiance were terrific. The buffet breakfast was delicious and we had a great stay. Highly recommended!

Mattress was awful, other than that the places was very nice. A bit of a walk to area restaurants and pubs

The hotel is in a great location, with the train station nearby and plenty of amenities in the area—coffee shops, restaurants, convenience stores, and more. Many of the tourist attractions are a 20 minute walk away.

Lousy location. Not worth the money

Lovely room and great amenities. We booked the breakfast buffet and had delicious sampling of Irish breakfast foods. The staff was attentive in the dining room. The front desk was welcoming and very helpful in setting our evening out after we’d traveled from the US and Spain. Highly recommend this gem of a hotel.

We have stayed at the ashling a number of times and we always enjoy our stay.

Two night stay in a family room - double/2 twins including breakfast. In room amenities were great. Tea/coffee and cookies were appreciated in room. Beds were comfortable. Lovely breakfast with many options and the dining room staff were very friendly and helpful with our food allergy requests (gluten free). Had dinner in the Bistro - great sandwiches! Close to Heuston station and other transportation options. Walking distance to many attractions.

Loved the location and restaurants at the Ashling.

Typical European hotel, the rooms are old and musty, the beds aren’t very comfy. The bathrooms are awkward and everything is a bit run down

Beautiful hotel. Very comfortable room. Nice and quiet. Outstanding breakfast buffet. Hotel staff helpful and pleasant. Would definitely stay again.
