Ashling Hotel Dublin

As noted in my profile the need of an accessible room. My trip to The Ashling hotel was not accommodating after asking at check-in. We arrived ill from the UK. I Described our situation but no one took me seriously. Put my wife and I in a non accessible room with no help. They offered us no assistance nor help. My roots are from Ireland most recently my grandfather and I was there to find my family. I’ve saved for a number of years to go on this mission. I’m 68 years old and running out of time. Unfortunately got extremely ill and unable to do any recreational activities nor look for my grandfather. Spent the majority of 3 days in bed with no TV nor help to speak of. There was no hospitality at all. I used my $800.00 Cash Key credits I had saved for over 10 years only to be overcharged on nothing but an over marketed fake run down facility with no hospitality at all. Dressed up at a reception desk does not qualify for hospitality. Helping one another, making sure they are okay. Their stay is more than average, their needs are met, Instead crass ignorant comments were made to two seniors like-we are idiots. We’ve traveled with Hotels as I said from its conception. I’m begging Hotels.com to look up my account to verify. I honestly believe that The Ashling hotel new we were their using our credits and due to that gave us less than adequate service. It’s intolerable as I waited for a very long time to be able to make that trip. Please refund my $800.00 Cash Key. Tim Richardson

Nice staff, clean room with amazing shower water pressure. Dinner in restaurant was good on 3 of 4 meals ordered.

Clean, and clean excellent location close to Arbour Hill historical site, Stoneybatter and close to city centre by interesting stroll through Smithfield square and home of the makers of Jameson Irish whiskey.

The room was very good, roomy and clean. I gave 4 stars because the restaurant experience is very below average and very expensive with no service. Food was terrible, my seafood chowder was not chowder at all. It tasted like leftover from 3 or 4 days ago. If you stay there, don't eat there. The breakfast was fine with standard Irish breakfast items.

Room was amazing and cleaned every day. Staff were really friendly. Hotel is in a prime location for the trams/trains at Heuston station, close enough to the city centre but far enough out from the hustle and bustle. Would 100% stay again.

From the moment Ricardo greeted us at the front desk to the services he provided for taxis and information along with his colleague Javier, I knew we would feel at home. Breakfast daily with Juliana and Rachel as our hostesses was the icing on the proverbial cake. Variety! Cleanliness! Excellent service! Our last night, we enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Iveagh Bistro with Augustina as our server—also awesome! The bartender was either named Julie or Anna—I wished I recalled her name because she could not have made us feel more welcomed. Highly recommended!

Comfortable and quiet. Conveniently located near bus and tram. The room was a little too warm, and we couldn’t change the heat setting beyond a few degrees. Otherwise, very nice hotel and amenities.

Friendly staff. Room clean and comfortable, but my view was a wall a couple of metres in front of the window. OK as I was on business and only there for a night, but not a room for those on a leisure trip.

The lobby was beautiful, the doorman was warm and helpful. The staff and the breakfast were exceptionally wonderful! The room itself was okay and the bathroom wasn’t great but the beds were clean and comfortable. It is very close to Heuston Station which makes it a convenient location.

The room was very clean, the staff was friendly, professional and helpful. It’s close to the train and bus stations. There are three puns that you can walk to.

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived so they substituded two rooms. Both were nice. We had an early morning, 6:30 appointment for a tour the next day and the clerk told us we needed to vacate our rooms and they would hold our luggage. This was on the way out the door. With some negotiation they allowed us to move that night instead.

The room was clean and well presented. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. The lobby and area were beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Quicker checkin and room to be ready. I called 6 hours before going to hotel to ask for room to be ready. We were sent to the bar amd afyer 40 mins room was ready
