Nice hotel on the promenade. Arrived late and left early, so basically just slept there. No issues.

Comfortable beds and a good night's sleep made this a good stay.

Staff were so welcoming and helpful. Made our stay very special. Rooms were excellent. Breakfast was very good.

We stayed four nights and really enjoyed it, the staff were kind and attentive, and went out of their way to help imperious ways. I wouldn’t say the breakfasts were as magnificent as some people have implied, it’s a pretty limited menu and if you go off the menu, things aren’t always great, but the coffee machine was fabulous.

We had a wonderful stay in the Halvard hotel. The staff were welcoming, and accommodating for our requests. Our room was clean, spacious and had a lovely view of the sea and the promenade. The breakfast was excellent, with good options for hot breakfast that's freshly prepared and a small buffet. The location of the hotel is great, being less than 10 min walk from the ferry passenger terminal, on the sea front and downtown area, and in walking distance to the bus station. We loved our stay here, it was the highlight of our trip! Thanks to the Halvard hotel team :)

Beautiful hotel on the promenade. Rooms very spacious and clean. Decor was lovely. En-suite was newly renovated and shower was amazing. Numerous options for breakfast. Nothing negative about this hotel.

My favourite hotel in Douglas and very near to everywhere I need to walk to for work. Friendly, lovely big rooms (they upgraded me free of charge to a huge room as I stay often). Great view over the sea front. Breakfast is quality - good ingredients, cooked to order. Very happy with everything.

I had an absolutely excellent stay at the Halvard Hotel in the Isle of Man! The hotel is newly refurbished, blending modern elegance with every comfort you could need. The rooms are equipped with sleek, contemporary amenities, and the walk-in shower was such a luxurious touch. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the wonderful staff. Lucas, Marianne, and Grace were incredible – always so helpful, attentive, and genuinely sweet. Their warmth and professionalism made the experience even more special. From the beautifully updated interiors to the impeccable service, the Halvard Hotel is a gem. I left with nothing but positive memories and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the Isle of Man. Can’t wait to return!

Great find, on the seafront. Modern interiors, lovely room and the staff were excellent, couldn't do enough for you. Rooms have free crisps /drinks/chocolate - which are replenished daily, a lovely touch. Restaurant was great, steak cooked to perfection as was the room service . Really friendly people, would highly recommend a stay there.

The Halvard is in a nice location, the staff was very nice and helpful. The food is excellent. The bed and bath are clean and well appointed.

Amazing staff, upgraded me to a larger room after I asked about paying to upgrade. Will definitely be returning back here on my next trip!

Great staff, clean and great location.

Staff were very attentive and friendly. The hotel was very clean. I liked the mini-bar was topped up each day for free. The room walls are a bit thin and you can hear next door quite easily. They do supply ear plugs which helps.
