Halvard Hotel

The most welcoming and efficient check in process I ever seen!! Room was delightful, large, and appointed with personalised care. The breakfast was made to order and delivered with wonderful hospitality. Checkout was just handing the key back - oh and the minibar was complimentary. Genuinely a wonderful experience.

Fantastic service, clean, good dinner, great breakfast. Luxurious and big rooms. Slept very well. Super hotel!

The room was good except there was no bedside table had to leave everything on the floor. Parking was nonexistent with a 2 hour limit outside the hotel

Excellent breakfasts

Lovely hotel on the prom - fantastic service with great attention to details. Very nice breakfast and food selection. Unfortunately, we did not checked the previous reviews and booked the room facing the back of the hotel, which was exposed to loud music every evening , till quite late. There were earplugs available- which were very helpful, still we will know better for our next stay.

Honestly, the property is lovely and the staff, food and service is top notch. The only drawback is that if your room faces the back, there are bars, shopping and restaurants that can be supremely noisy at night. The first night, there was hollering, drinking and loud carousing until 4:30 am. I was unable to sleep at all. The next night, the noise quieted down around midnight. Just be advised that the hotel abuts a very noisy area where there's late night loud carousing.

Nice hotel on the promenade. Arrived late and left early, so basically just slept there. No issues.

We stayed four nights and really enjoyed it, the staff were kind and attentive, and went out of their way to help imperious ways. I wouldn’t say the breakfasts were as magnificent as some people have implied, it’s a pretty limited menu and if you go off the menu, things aren’t always great, but the coffee machine was fabulous.

We had a wonderful stay in the Halvard hotel. The staff were welcoming, and accommodating for our requests. Our room was clean, spacious and had a lovely view of the sea and the promenade. The breakfast was excellent, with good options for hot breakfast that's freshly prepared and a small buffet. The location of the hotel is great, being less than 10 min walk from the ferry passenger terminal, on the sea front and downtown area, and in walking distance to the bus station. We loved our stay here, it was the highlight of our trip! Thanks to the Halvard hotel team :)
