SHG Hotel Bologna

I wonder why the hotel does not have any responsibility that a customer's bag was stolen at the hotel lobby in Italy? No security, No CCTV at the lobby of the hotel. No reimbursement! We three stayed for 6 nights. The last morning one of our colleague's bag was stolen at the hotel lobby. Two men were standing for exchanging 50 euro note to small notes. Then, back to the sofa 5M away from a front desk, there was not the bag. Funny thing is the clerks in the front desk said that there can be a help call to the police in stead of us. They said "there is nothing to do from the hotel". that's all.... On the top of the main gate, there was a camera which is a just moving sensor they said. How fantastic ~!!! Worst thing, a recommendation is that we should go the police station and explain the situation.

The hotel was very clean and tidy. The room was comfortable and ideal for our business trip for three nights. Located in a quiet area on the outskirts of Bologna we travelled into city by taxi (24-35euros) which the hotel called for us.

We spent one night at Salute Hotel Group (SHG Hotel Bologna) on our way back to Canada after a week in Dubai. Exhausted, hungry, and desperate to go to sleep, I did a quick hotel search on Expedia and selected SHG because it had connecting rooms and it was close to the airport and train station. SO glad I did. SHG is an old, but charming hotel with an excellent restaurant. The staff are polite, but not friendly but it didn’t bother me. As black Canadians, who have traveled around the world for years, I have learned the nicest, friendliest, people are housekeeping, not reception! I would highly recommend SHG, and when you do add the breakfast option. Lots of healthy choices, fresh and tasty. Worth every penny! Next time I am in Bologna, I'm definitely staying at SHG Hotel Bologna.

The staff was awesome and the breakfast was very good.

Camera molto pulita e ordinata, letto molto comodo e personale accogliente. L’ascensore è un po’ piccolino ma ci sta per l’età che ha la struttura. Consiglio di soggiornare in quest’hotel.

When I booked the hotel, it was stayed on the add that there was airport transfer service, it turned out there wasn’t. I decided to book this hotel for this reason mainly. So I was very disappointed

No shuttle service from or to the airport as listed. Water in the shower was barely warm. Staff at the front desk was unable to help with directions to one of the most important event in town.

El personal muy amable, habitaciones y banhos limpios, tranquilo, buen estacionamiento

gentili. pulito. velocissimi alla reception. Ottimo servizio al ristorante.

The only thing I noticed was that the check in was slow

Unfortunately there was no trains Running and was not happy with the food

Great place to stay in the outskirts of central Bologna, Train station is right behind it so that’s plus.

Bit old fashioned hotel; looks from the 70s. Location bit crappy with station in the backyard. Broken entrance gates to parking. Big containers of paint behind the hotel (apparently the hotel is full of workers and these workers store there waste behind the hotel) Worst of all is that despite paying with debit card, the hotel remain reservation on the creditcard and does not cancel such at check out; remaining there already for weeks and hotel is not willing/able to remove it per direct

Stopped overnight for early morning Airport flight. Dated, old fashioned decor (1990's) hotel with nothing around it apart from a supermarket next door and train station to Bologna Central. Bed was comfortable, huge bathroom. For a one night stay it served its purpose.
