This place was the most amazing, warm, friendly, and loving hotel I’ve ever had the privilege of staying. The entire hotel is run by a phenomenal family—so incredibly kind, loving, and welcoming. We were greeted warmly upon our arrival and they showed us a map of the town, asked how they could help, and made great suggestions for dinner.
The gentleman drove my family and I to the Snow Monkey Park and drove us to the train station the next morning.
We had the most delicious cheeseburgers that we have ever had in our whole lives at the restaurant downstairs and enjoyed time in the recreation room playing pool, chess, and other fun games.
The onsens on the property were very clean, hot, and relaxing. I got to experience the open air and enclosed onsen during my stay and both were so peaceful.
When we left, the whole family came outside to wave goodbye to us and bow.
It was truly the most amazing and authentic Japanese hotel throughout our 1-month of travel across this amazing country!
I would recommend this place to every soul on planet earth :)

Wonderful stay! Staff were very helpful! The onsen was lovely. They gave us a ride up to see the snow monkeys and it was a very pleasant walk back down through Shibu to get back to the hotel- highly recommend!

Mysigt traditionellt rum med fantastisk utsikt!
Trevlig och mycket hjälpsam personal som körde oss till snow money park och till tågstationen.
Den traditionella middagen var en upplevelse och det fanns ett bra onsen på hotellet.

１０星以上の満足です。先ず入館してフレンドリーなスタッフの皆さんのお陰で和み、部屋、夕飯、風呂、そして今朝の朝食も最高に素晴らしく親子で大満足です。おもだかさんにステイできて本当にラッキーでした。もし悩んでいたら是非おもだかさんへ。

Super Lage, wenn man in die Berge möchte.
Shuttle zum Bahnhof und Snow Monkey Park wurde angeboten - allgemein war das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie haben mich auch bei der Planung unterstützt, man kann in der Umgebung super wandern oder auch Ski fahren / snowboarden.
Sauna und drei verschiedene heiße Quellen vorhanden.
Und das Abendessen war sagenhaft gut! Super traditionelle Japan Erfahrung.

接待や施設が特に上等という訳ではなく、連休中という繁盛記でもあったので、親戚迄頼んでスタッフを確保したようにも感じ、１,２名接客下手な方もおられた。
ただ、大半のスタッフからはそれなりに誠意をもってもてなししようという気持ちが十分に伝わった。
あとは、こちらものんびりさせていただいた。
それで十分でした。

la chambre est magnifique et spacieuse. Nous étions 2 dans la chambre . On nous a prêté 2 peignoirs pour aller au onsen au 3ème étage. c'était très agréable.
On a diné le soir au snack du bas qui propose des hamburgers délicieux.
J'ai regretté de ne pas être restée 2 nuits et de pouvoir gouter la cuisine de l 'hôtel. Nous n'avions pas réservé à l'avance et c'était complet.
parking à côté de l'hôtel gratuit.

Staff and room were exceptional. Pillows were a bit hard but you can ask for softer ones. Main problem was lack of ammenities tho there's a drug store a 10 minute walk away from it to buy some.

Staff was very kind, even with the language barrier, were more than helpful. Rooms were well equipped with extra blankets and mattresses. The hotel bus drove us to the Monkey park and to the train station upon checkout. Onsen was very hot and clean. Would love to come back!

I was later than their last check in and they accommodated me and even made a multi course traditional Japanese meal at 9pm, the food for breakfast and dinner was delicious. The onsen was extremely hot and had an absolutely gorgeous view. The older couple that runs it were incredibly kind and hospitable to me, including a shuttle to the Monkeg Park and Yamanaka Station free of charge. The WiFi was good enough for a Microsoft teams call with zero lag whatsoever. I had a wonderful stay here and if I am back in the area I will stay again.

The room shows some age but it’s comfortable. The public onsen is very good with an indoor pool and an outdoor one for both men’s and women’s spas. We have the half board option with our room. They serve our dinners in a private room. The food was great and staff were friendly. Breakfast was served buffet style and has a good variety of food. They also offer rides to Snow Monkey park and the train station. Would stay there again if I visit there again.

Rooms were clean, towels and japanese robes replaced each day. The onsens were clean, the outdoor one was usually empty, just for me. The gentleman at the reception was accommodating to us and gave us a few rides from the hotel to different locations (station, monkey park).

The hotel is nice with a decent traditional breakfast spread and beautiful onsen, but the actual hotel is outside the shibu onsen city so it is impossible to go into any of the 9 hot springs except 1. We had to find another room at a hotel nearby to get the key for the onsen.
