더 바른 도쿄

체크인 하러 갔을 때부터 스태프분들이 너무 친절하시고 영어도 잘 하셨어요! 침대는 성인 여자 두 명이 자기에 딱 맞았고 콘센트도 꽤 많아서 만족했습니다. 좁지만 엘레베이터도 있었고 호텔이 전체적으로 조용해서 좋았습니다. 일반 주택가 사이에 위치해 있었고 주변에 돈키호테와 편의점, 맛집도 있었습니다. 다음에 도쿄 놀러오면 또 여기로 예약하고 싶을 만큼 만족도가 높았어요!

As soon as I saw him for the first time, he guided me very kindly. The explanation is good in English, and the location of the accommodation is near JR line, so it is a good place to go anywhere in Tokyo. They are always in counter or in accommodation, we can help them easily. In the morning, the prepare for coffee, bread, etc… Anyway thank you for your kindness and good service for us. If i go to Tokyo, i want to visit The Barn Tokyo 😇👍

한국인입니다. 직원분이 너~무 친절하셔서 숙박 내내 그 점이 너무 좋았습니다. 일본분이신 것 같았는데 영어를 너무 잘하셔서 소통에 불편함이 없었고, 질문 많이 했었는데도 늘 친절하게 응대해주셔서 감사했습니다 :) 숙소도 5번의 일본 방문 중 가장 컸습니다. 4명이라 방 2개를 예약하였었는데, 짐정리할 때 캐리어 4개를 펼쳐도 공간이 충분했어요. 별 차이는 없지만 두 군데 크기가 약간 다른 것 같기도 했어요! 아무튼 숙소 정말 좋았습니다~! 우구이스다니역이여도 역에서 호텔까지 걸어오는 길에는 위험한 사람이나 건물이 없어서 좋았어용 잘 묵다왔습니다.

It was the happiest time in Tokyo. It was good because the bedding was clean and the water pressure was strong! I want to use this accommodation again next time.

We had an amazing stay at The Barn Tokyo and loved everything about it. The location was ideal for us — not in a busy touristy area, but in a quiet, residential neighborhood where you get a glimpse of local life. It's only a short walk to the train station, and there are convenience stores, restaurants, and a Life supermarket within walking distance. The hotel itself is spotless and well-maintained. The rooms are a bit spacious compared to typical hotel rooms in Japan. But what really made our stay extra special was the staff. The two Filipino staff on duty during our stay were friendly, accommodating, and made us feel at home. We’ll definitely be coming back to The Barn Tokyo for our next visit.

A modern hotel and the location is good. Staff are very friendly. For European standard the beds are small (140 cm for a double bed.) I didn’t sleep well at all. No breakfast. I think there are other hotels that would be a better choice.

Très bon hôtel, bien situé, à proximité du métro et de deux lignes qui desservent très facilement tout le centre de Tokyo, à proximité de commerces (konbini) ouverts 24-24. Chambres propres, de taille très correcte (surtout pour le Japon), bien agencées, personnel très sympathique. Je recommande vivement !

Hands down, one of the best hotels we have stayed in! So lovely in every way, and it absolutely deserves the excellent reviews it receives! The place is perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood, near train station and very centrally located. The staff is so kind and attentive, and we even did our laundry for a very reasonable price and they folded everything so nicely. They have nice little breakfast pastries and bananas. The room is immaculate, very tastefully decorated and the most comfortable bed. We had my 3 adult kids in one Queen room and with a futon, it had plenty of space. Such a lovely way to start our vacation, this is the best place you’ll find in Tokyo!

Very close to the Yamanote line so convenient to get around all of Tokyo. Safe neighbourhood with lots of restaurants and convenience stores within 10 minute walk. Spacious room by Japanese standards. Very good toilet and shower. AC in the room.

Nice little hotel in a nice neighbourhood. 5 min walk to the JR Yamamoto line. Very quiet and clean. Super friendly staff! No breakfast but they always had coffee, bananas and some bread for breakfast.

We loved our stay. Very warm welcome from our hosts who had lots of top tips for the area. Beds and bedding was lovely and very comfortable. The room was spacious by Japanese standards with space under the beds for luggage and other clever space saving ideas. 2 chairs and a little folding table were great. The area had a very local feel and was close to trains and Ueno Park which is amazing. Highly recommend the Barn and would definitely stay again.

Our stay here was quite uncomfortable. The building doesn’t feel like it has proper hotel infrastructure. We were asked not to walk heavily to avoid disturbing neighbors, but even the slightest movement caused noise — something we’ve never experienced in a hotel before. Some services were overpriced without offering anything special in return. The elevator broke on our last night and repairs were noisy throughout the night, which made it hard to sleep. Guests are also expected to resolve how to take out their own trash, which is unusual. In other hotels, staff at least provides clear instructions and handles disposal. The toiletries were among the worst we had during our trip. We’re not trying to leave a negative review just for the sake of it, but these are things that should be considered. Comfort should come before just offering a big bed. We gave stars mainly for the location, the friendly staff, and the spacious rooms.

A wonderful stay at this modern property with lovely, friendly owners. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed every one. The surrounding area is a peaceful neighborhood with all the amenities including a large supermarket. Transit is simple with train, subway and bus lines all a short walk away. We strolled to Ueno park and the area around there most days - wonderful museums, restaurants and shops there. The room was well-appointed with a good size bathroom. We enjoyed the simple breakfast every day, using the frig to store yogurt etc. We found it a perfect place to enjoy Tokyo without being in huge crowds. Highly recommend!
