Seasons Riverside Hotel. Vientiane is a good hotel, nothing special, worth the money. The staff are helpful and try hard to speak well in English, can't ask for more. The hotel is near the Mekong, which is not the mighty river it once was, so the near side is mainly a sand bank, the footing restaurants sitting on the dry river bed, a shame, but part of Laos's development. The Local ride app is the way to go and easy to get good taxis for trips around Vientiane. Breakfast was adequate, nice egg station lady who does a nice scrambled/omelette and on the second day there was a fresh loaf for toast, so adequate. What bothers me at hotels in Laos I have stayed that they don't have a 'noodle' choice, easy to have some dry vermicelli.noodles and some fixings. Also on the second day I tried a small lunch at the cafe. Nice chicken wings and deep fried mushrooms, with a splendid Young Coconut Smoothie. Would I go back? I guess the answer is yes I would!
