Upon check-in, hotel Front Desk will collect from guests MYR 2.00 Local Government Fee per room per night(imposed by Penang Government starting from 1st June 2014). This fee is not included in room rates. Effective 1 September 2017, hotel guests who are non-Malaysian or non-Permanent Residents of Malaysia are required to pay a tourism tax of MYR 10 nett per night per room for all registered hotels with the Malaysian Government. This is in addition to the existing taxes that could be collected at the hotel upon check-in. Please check with the hotel upon arrival regarding these taxes. Smoking is not allowed in the room. Penalty at MYR200.00 will be charged if guest failed to oblige hotel's Non-Smoking Policy. Alternatively, guest can smoke at lounge area (outdoor). You may be required to present valid government-issued identification at check-in, along with credit card / cash to cover the incidentals and deposits. All special request such as additional car park, early, check-in, late check-out etc, are strongly subject to availability. You are advised to liaise with owner directly at least 24 hours before arrival for special arrangement. Hotel may charge you additional fee for each extra person after reserves room’s maximum occupancy. Any availability of extra bed or baby crib is subject to availability. To ensure smooth check-in, Tien Hotel Residence would appreciate if you may indicate flight details / estimated time of arrival. You may use the Remarks box upon booking confirmation.
Important Notice: Water Disruption in Penang State Dear Valued Guests, Please be informed that due to scheduled maintenance, there will be a water supply disruption across the state of Penang from 25th April 2025 to 27th April 2025.
