O Palazzo Castagna foi, sem dúvida, o hotel mais agradável da nossa viagem por Malta. Por ser um hotel menor, proporciona uma experiência muito mais acolhedora. Em nenhum momento nos sentimos apenas mais um hóspede. O edifício é belíssimo, instalado em um casarão histórico cuidadosamente restaurado e decorado. O rooftop, com piscina e bar, é um ótimo espaço para relaxar. O grande destaque, porém, é a piscina aquecida no subsolo, inserida em um ambiente escavado na pedra. É necessário fazer reserva, mas tivemos o privilégio de desfrutá-la sozinhos durante uma hora. Foi uma experiência inesquecível e muito romântica. Ao chegarmos ao quarto, fomos surpreendidos com um mimo muito original: uma válvula a vácuo para conservar vinho, uma lembrança elegante e útil que demonstra o cuidado do hotel com os hóspedes. O hotel também possui um excelente restaurante, com opções sem glúten, algo muito importante para mim, que sou celíaca. O quarto era extremamente confortável, com cama excelente, roupa de cama de altíssima qualidade, amenities muito cheirosos e um cuidado com os detalhes que faz toda a diferença. Toda a equipe foi gentil, atenciosa e sempre pronta para ajudar. Foi a forma perfeita de encerrar nossa viagem por Malta. Tudo estava impecável. Eu voltaria sem pensar duas vezes e recomendo fortemente a quem procura uma hospedagem charmosa, confortável e com atendimento verdadeiramente diferenciado.

Great rooms,staff are very polite and friendly. Dislike, the breakfast could have been hotter but I've been assured that new warming plates are being ordered. Maybe the introduction of bacon....we left before, 7am to catch our flight.so missed out on breakfast, staff don't start until 7.30 am. No night porter /reception, for a 4 star boutique hotel not that professional.

A beautiful boutique hotel in the centre of Hal Ghaxaq Church square. Peaceful and relaxing but a great base for visiting the whole of Malta. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and maintained by a great team of friendly staff. The buffet style breakfast is delicious and fresh. Lovely pool & rooftop bar area. Reception staff all Lovely and knowledgeable headed up by lovely Nirosha 😍

Had a great dinner on the roof deck, with views of the city. Had an early flight, so missed breakfast, but the staff prepared a takeaway meal of sandwiches, yogurt, and apples. Hotel was very clean and modern. Staff was very helpful and thoughtful.

The property is a cute boutique hotel; the room was well appointed and staff friendly. I had booked it due to its proximity to the airport as I had an early flight out the next morning. However, there was a EXTREMELY loud concert of some kind right outside which went on until at least 1 am. I was unable to sleep until it was over. I am not sure if this is a common occurrence but if you value quiet when sleeping it is something to consider.

L’hotel è in un bel palazzo e le camere sono ampie e accoglienti ma siamo anni luce lontani dal concetto di boutique hotel. Dopo la prima notte mi sono fatta cambiare la camera perché la prima era super umida con un’unica piccola finestra. La colazione super scadente e ogni giorno un copia e incolla. Per i bambini non era previsto nulla, neanche un po di nutella o dei biscotti. Il personale garbato. La posizione vicina all’aeroporto ma lontana da tutto. Insomma è un hotel 3 stelle non un 4 stelle boutique

This is a beautiful, peaceful property staffed by the most helpful and friendly people. The reception is always manned with welcoming, knowledgeable staff who cater for your every need. The bedrooms are spotless and cleaned daily. The beds and bedding are excellent. Very comfortable and luxurious sheeting and pillows. The bathrooms are well stocked with toiletries etc and slippers and dressing gowns supplied. The restaurant is housed in a beautiful characterful room. Breakfast is buffet style and there is plenty of options. However, it is a continental arrangement and anyone expecting a full English may be disappointed. The pool area is beautiful and carefully maintained. Plenty of towels available and the pool bar has a well stocked bar providing great cocktails. In warmer months the roof top pool area also has a restaurant and bbq nights. During cooler months the main restaurant is open in the evening for fabulous a la carte meals. The village of Ghaxaq is very quiet but the hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the bus stop. From here you can travel cheaply to other areas. Ultimately, any business is only as good as the staff who man it. Every member of staff from Nirosha on reception and her colleagues, the wonderful friendly cleaners, bar and restaurant staff and pool man, all work so hard to make your stay perfect!!

What an excellent boutique hotel! We arrived very late and although the front desk staff departs at 9pm, we were able to enter without issue with the provided doorcode. Our room had everything we needed and the bed was amazing. The morning breakfast had plenty to offer and was perfect after a day of travel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could.

Fantastic place to stay - highly recommend to everyone. Room was really spacious and comfortable. Quiet hotel, great location - only a 10euro bolt from valetta and a short drive to lots of coastal areas. Staff were really helpful and courteous, dinner was delicious.

Exceptional hotel, set in a beautiful building with modern, clean rooms. The bed was very comfortable The staff was great, especially Mary Joy at reception who was very welcoming and friendly.

Beautiful hotel, in a quiet residential area. Not many options nearby for eating out, but there is a small supermaket within walking distance. Room was very comfortable, breakfast excellent. Restaurant and cafe in the hotel on the pricier side, but food was excellent. Ample street parking nearby. Recommended.
