Our experience was terrible. We were scammed by the hotel staff. We made a boat tour reservation through the hotel concierge on the first day of our trip, which was supposed to include fishing, snorkeling, and whale watching. We paid $600 for the tour. However, all we got was a fishing trip on an old boat. We got soaked by the waves because the roof of the boat was broken, and there were no life vests for the kids. The concierge had said the license fee was included, but we had to pay $75 each as a license fee when we arrived at the marina. The crew on the boat didn't even know about the snorkeling and whale watching; there were no gears for that at all. Although the crew was nice, we couldn't tip them because we had to pay the unexpected license fee. It felt so bad.The concierge said he would refund part of our purchase, but he didn't respond. When I called from a different number, he answered, saying he was on a business trip and would refund us soon, but that was a lie. Eventually, I filed a dispute with my credit card company and won. By the way, the room was not clean. I found some hairs and a contact lens on the floor. The breakfast was nice. This was my first trip to Mexico, and this experience severely tarnished reputation of Mexico.

I love my stay in Teroso and will stay again if I come back to Cabo! nice staff and nice food( but the tour they suggested at the lobby was so expensive..)

initially the staff didnt give us our expedia status room up grade.They always act like they dont know about it until i contact expedia then its given.They also say you can pay for an upgraded room.This gets old being that its everytime we stay there.Upgraded room was nice and clean

Staff support was very lacking. Tesoro has been my preferred Cabo location for quite a few years now for visits both personal and business, especially the last 3-4 years when on tour with a band performing at a venue located WITHIN the Tesoro complex on the Marina. For the last several years, it was no problem for band members - professional touring musicians - to use a Tesoro hotel room for changing clothes and storing personal effects during the performance for a few hours. Suddenly, the hotel has decided that, even though this in no way impacts the number of guests actually staying in the room or consuming any other amenities, only a registered guest with RFID wristband can use the very space that was booked and paid for, even for a few minutes. Highly unreasonable and frankly unheard of across decades of global travel. Formerly a favorite property in Cabo, can no longer recommend Tesoro as traveler friendly if you happen to stay there and may have friends/family who may want to stop by - best find alternate accommodations! Incredibly disappointing after so many great years, not to mention the poor upkeep (broken toilet flush mechanism, shower door that doesn't close and leaks everywhere). Completely understand the need for a policy preventing large groups/parties/etc. but they have gone way off the deep end of reasonableness with this current setup. I'm sure there are other properties who will appreciate my regular business and referrals.

We stayed for five days and LOVED it! The breakfast had all we would have wanted, the pool area was beautiful with lots of chairs available any time of day. The resort and rooms are very clean and the staff were friendly. We felt very safe walking to the many restaurants and shops in the area. We will definitely be back!

Hotel is an excellent location. Staff was friendly and room was very clean. The one item we didn't like was the noise from the Hammerhead Bar. Several nights it went late into the evening like until midnight. We could hear it in our room and it kept us awake for awhile. Get rid of the noise this is a 4 star hotel.

We love Tesoro! The location is perfect for my husband who is an avid fisherman. The hotel staff are extremely friendly, helpful & are willing to make your stay to your liking if it is allowed. The hotel is listening to their customers as to how to improve their hotel by constantly making changes. The rooms are exactly like they show online. We come to Cabo more than once in a year & always stay at this family friendly hotel. We have stayed at other surrounding hotels but in traveling here for well over 20 years but Tersoro meets our needs. So, give them a try. Remember to tip the staff though. They totally deserve it!

Had the most amazing time! It’s clean the view is amazing. However some staff needs to be more professional.

We stayed top floor with Million dollar marina & city views, excellent staff acknowledgements, great pool and easy accessibility to restaurants. As with most 35 year old lodgings the maintenance is so so, leaking from a roof panel after showering, a worn out older couch, a kitchen layout with burners but no utensils. All in all we would likely stay again.

The room and view was nice, pool could have been more clean .... Vista sucks go to Lighthouse or eat the pizza across the street. Great activities
