Mövenpick Casablanca

No advantages except it's in the central of the city. Very old hotel without proper maintenance. The first thing I found out in the room was the washstand which cannot be drained. Managers at the receptions were very unprofessional and unkind. Probably not all of them, but at least the people I met for three days were. I'd rather stay another hotel for my next trip to the city.

I stayed at this hotel in Casablanca and was initially impressed with the room's beautiful decor. I had requested birthday decorations and a bottle of champagne, which were nicely arranged—but I paid for both, as well as for late check-out upon arrival. I was told I received a complimentary upgrade, but it appeared to be part of the birthday setup I had arranged and paid for. Unfortunately, there was ongoing construction on the same floor during my stay. I was woken up multiple times by loud noise and called the front desk twice to report it, but nothing was resolved. When I mentioned this during check-out, the associate simply asked, “Did you notify anyone?” despite my earlier calls. No follow-up or solution was offered. I also explained that I couldn’t use the late check-out I paid for due to the long travel time back to Marrakech airport. I asked for a refund, showed the messages exchanged with the hotel, but the associate didn’t understand and no resolution was provided. I had to leave without a refund, as the process was taking too long. Lastly, I paid the deposit in cash, which was accepted, but since it wasn’t traceable via bank, I have no proof of that transaction. The hotel has potential, and the room was lovely, but poor communication and lack of support significantly impacted my stay.

This hotel has fantastic bedding.

The staff was amazing. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary, and they decorated our room with rose petals and got us a delicious chocolate cake. The gym and rooftop pool with bar and restaurant with citywide views were fabulous.

I stayed at this hotel for five days while in morocco. The pictures online made it seem like it was a five star hotel. The first room, I entered, stunk horribly of cigarette, smoke and urine. I called the reception and asked to move. They sent me to another room. That room also stunk horribly of cigarette smoke. Finally, at two in the morning, I couldn’t deal with cigarette smoke smell and didn’t want to be a pain in the ass but I had to call and ask for a different room since I couldn’t breathe. Finally, they put me in a room on the 14th floor, that was free of cigarette smoke. The room was very nice but the carpets were absolutely filthy, dark stains all over it. In the mornings, I woke up to doors slamming one after another, and I mean, slamming. I looked my door and saw it was a housekeeper going in and out of the rooms cleaning. Also, to note, there are no English channels on the television here. There are lots of channels, but nothing with English at all. The breakfast buffet was good and the pool was very nice but all together I would not recommend this place, and would not stay here again. the pool also closes very early for the dinner guests so that was a bummer.

We had an issue with the AC but after speaking to the staff, they were able to arrive at a satisfactory result. Hotel itself & amenities were good

The hotel is Rated 5 star but it is 3 star in everything. The only advantage is the staff so friendly and helpful but when you book 5 star you expect 5 star standard specially for a frequent travelers like me, Very much disappointed with standard of the hotel and how can it be rated 5 star, Second thing I had an incident that my door wasn’t closing and I requested to change room but they send someone to fix and he kept on going and coming for over an hour and I didn’t feel comfortable.

This is a nice hotel that could do better. Although there are several employees at the check-in and reception, they do not seem that eager to address issues.

Hotel is well placed with a tram stop (Hassan II) just yards away. Stand out staff included Sara from Housekeeping as well as the ever helpful head concierge
