호텔 메르시에

최초 예약했을 때 더블침대를 요청했었었는데, 체크인할 시에 남아있는 방에 더블침대가 없다고 킹사이즈베드를 사용하라고 했습니다. 또한 예약당시에 어머니와 함께 여행 중이며, 여행 중 생일을 맞이해서 가능한 시티뷰를 요청했고, 아무 회신이 없어서 다시한번 메일 보냈는데 아무 회신을 받지 못했습니다. 결국 체크인한 방 창문으로는 바로 옆 건물의 벽밖에 보이지 않았고 햇빛도 들어오지 않는 방이라서 매우 기분이 나빳습니다. 또한 배정받은 방은 호텔 건물이 아닌 레스토랑 옆에 딸린 엘레베이터도 없는 곳이었습니다. 방에 햇빛에 안듣고 조명이 매우 어두워서 추가 스탠드를 요청했으나, 그것도 없다고 그냥 방을 써야될 것다고 그랬습니다. 화장실과 샤워실은 분리되어 있으나, 둘다 조명이 매우 어둡고 샤워실의 샤워헤드 수압은 매우 약해서 샤워하기도 매우 불편했습니다. 룸청소는 단지 수건만 갈아주고, 화장실 하수구의 머리카락은 전혀 치워주지도 않았습니다. 조식은 먹을 것이 하나도 없습니다. 빵, 계란, 소시지, 커피 등이 전부이며, 추가로 오믈렛을 요청했으나 너무 느끼해서 전혀 먹을 수가 없었습니다. 체크아웃하고 잠시 짐을 맡겨두었는데, 배낭을 어떻게 보관했는지 모르겠지만 다시 받을때는 먼지투성이 상태였습니다. 매우 기분이 나쁘네요 좋은 점이라고는 위치밖에 없는 것 같네요. 전혀 추천하고 싶지 않은 호텔입니다.

All the important things were done perfectly ( ambience of breakfast room, cleanliness of shower, comfortable bed). Dirty walls and carpet let the hotel down. A lick of paint and new carpet would transform my experience to a near perfect stay. Waffles at breakfast were very nice.

We booked this hotel for the area and based on the previous reviews. The location we couldn’t fault, such a lovely part of the city by the canals and quaint streets and cafes. Whilst the staff at the hotel were lovely and the building itself impressive the room and facilities really lets this place down and it would be more suited to a single oversight stay than anything longer. The lack of anywhere to store clothes feels pretty standard for any hotel but all we had were a few hooks on the wall so spent the holiday living out of our bags. In addition poor overall lighting (too bright or too dark and no option to adjust) lack of a decent mirror (other than tucked into a corner of the room) and poor water pressure in the modern shower really made this place feel more style over substance with little functionality. This is a lovely location with lovely staff but probably better suited to an overnight stay rather than a longer break.

El personal es muy amable y el bar muy lindo, la ubicación buena. Pero las habitaciones son pequeñas y no me quedé en la más básica, la distribución no es muy funcional. El restaurante nunca funciona (lunes y martes no abre, días festivos tampoco). Creo que no me quedaría nuevamente ahí.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Mercier Amsterdam! We loved the area, lots of fun boutiques and restaurants but also a very quiet and peaceful and safe side of Amsterdam. Our room was beautiful and all the staff were friendly. I would definitely stay here again

Staff was warm and courteous. Hotel was clean. Lovely little breakfast. Great location for walking around the central city. Highly recommend this hotel. We had two rooms. One had plenty of room. The other was a little small, but it was quiet.

Lovely atmosphere, helpful staff and an overall great place to stay on our first time in Amsterdam.

The staff were excellent and so accommodating. I was able to change my room for one I preferred and the room was perfect.

Staff is extremely courteous and the rooms are clean. The bar area is also nice to have a drink.

We arrived very early in the morning and were told our room would not be ready until 3 pm since the hotel was sold out. However, I became sick later in the morning and the staff did everything they could to get me into a room right away. I really appreciate the caring and concern they showed me. Thankfully, I felt better later that day but it was so nice to be cared about especially in a foreign country. I just can’t thank them enough for going to great lengths to get us into a room so quickly.
