I have already been to this hotel three times. Always clean and comfortable.

This location is not close to anything. The early check in starts at 1:00 but nothing available. We did finally get checked in a little before 3:00. We explored the outside of the ship, where there is a small park which was very dirty with litter/trash and not well kept. Walking along the pier there was cigarette butts everywhere and some trash. Inside the ship hotel it was very warm.....no air flowing in the lobby. Our room was on the "A" deck at the very back of the ship....a long ways. The hall way carpet was badly stained all along the wall...needs to be replaced. The room was a nice size for a family but the carpet was extremely- badly stained. There was some loose carpet as well. There was mold in shower. The main problem...it was hot...very hot. We could not sleep well due to there was barely any air blowing anywhere. We did have it on the lowest temp. and it was miserable. The beds felt good BUT every time you turn over or move, the mattress would move, almost coming off the bed. That was not a good feeling. We have never slept in a bed like that, so that made it also uncomfortable. We did have water for each of us, which was nice as well as there was coffee and tea available in the room, which was nice. The free wi-fi was also nice and was secured by an individual code. The communication about how to get picked-up from the cruise terminal was not clear, so we had to walked a very long way to the bus stop at the metro station in order to get there.

The setting was very unusual in a pleasant way in that she is a retired ocean liner. Unfortunately, I was staying only a short time and I was on business. Otherwise I would have loved to visit the museum and take the tour. The overall impact was charming and much of the feel from her bygone days was still present. The staff, oops I meant crew, were all very helpful and attentive. I will stay longer next time.

As a solo traveller given a single room, it was an expensive and poor value booking at over 200 Euros. The room had no porthole or window, a small single bed, and there was furniture being scraped across the floor above until 1am. My friends who booked a double room had an altogether different experience, so it really depends on what you book. Otherwise the ship is great - brilliantly restored to its former glory and really interesting to explore; providing a unique hotel experience. The staff were super helpful throughout the ship. The amenities could do with a cafe/coffee shop for just getting tea/coffee. Also, it must be the only place where I've had a buffet breaksfast (which was excellent by the way!), that does not have a toaster!!

The SS Rotterdam is a very nice place to stay in Rotterdam. It was an easy check in and the rooms are clean. The breakfast is very good as is dinner in the Lido Grill. I will stay at the SS Rotterdam again.

Very quiet and peaceful. We were able to relax and recover after a long flight and train ride.

Freundlicher Empfang und Check in, der allerdings lange dauert. Sehr großer, kostenpflichtiger, Parkplatz. Mehrtagestickets gibt's an der Rezeption. So muss man nicht vor jeder Ausfahrt separat bezahlen. Das Ambiente des Schiffs ist klasse. Man fühlt sich in der Zeit zurück versetzt. Der Blick auf Rotterdamm von der großen Terrasse ist toll. Enttäuschend für mich war die Kabine. Wir waren zum zweiten Mal auf dem Schiff. Obwohl wir die selbe Kategorie gebucht haben wirkte das Zimmer 2 Klassen schlechter. Die Klimaanlage war direkt über dem Bett, die 2 Fenster sehr klein und dadurch das Zimmer dunkel. Beim ersten Besuch waren wir zwei Decks höher mit 4 (!) deutlich größeren Fenstern. Das macht sich bemerkbar. Es war laut, da mind. eine große Gruppe (Erwachsene) auf dem Schiff war, die nachts auf den Gängen nicht dran gedacht haben (...), dass andere Gäste vielleicht schlafen. Sehr schade, denn ich hatte mich sehr auf den Aufenthalt gefreut. So war ich froh, als er vorbei war. Wir werden wohl nicht mehr wiederkommen.

Leuk om een keer geweest te zijn. Vonden het jammer dat je als hotelgast niet overal naar toe kon lopen, maar het was leuk. Bedden waren lekker, douche liep niet goed door. De prijs voor het hotel was hoog, maar dat is tegenwoordig overal in Nederland. Die verhouding is helemaal zoek, zelfs in Oslo slaap ik in een mooier hotel voor een betere prijs. Terwijl Noorwegen altijd veel duurder was.

Gece 00.30 son otobüs ile ulaşım sağlayabiliyorsunuz veya taksi kullanabilirsiniz çok uzak bir mesafe değil onun dışındaki her şey kusursuzdu çok memnun kaldım. Bir daha gitsem tercihim yine burası olur.

Lovely quiet, clean and retro room. The staff were helpful. Breakfast is nice with plenty to choose from.

Das Hotel Schiff ist wirklich eine Reise wert . Es hat den totalen Titanic Charme aber trotzdem nicht abgewohnt. Ein paar Flecken auf dem Teppich waren vorhanden aber das war okey. Das Frühstück war wirklich lecker und es gab eine grosse Auswahl . Das einzige Manko war das man von dem Hotel aus wirklich lange Wege hatte um in die City zu kommen Ohne Uber oder Uber Fahrrad war da nichts zu machen . Alles in allem würden wir das Hotel empfehlen .

Great Stay here again, unique experience

This is a unique hotel and is a destination in itself. The maintenance of the ship is very good and we were glad to see all the people both staying and visiting. Having sailed on the ship, it was nice to be back on board. The only way to access the public rooms is by purchasing the tour, even as a hotel guest. But access then is good and I was able to see things closed to passengers when the ship sailed. The lounges are now all event venues, so devoid of furniture. Main negative is it’s an isolated location with little around it. That said, there is frequent bus service to the Metro and also a water taxi to various locations in the harbor. (All extra charge).

Without exception all employees were extremely pleasant and helpful. The person working security on the initial night of our 4 night stay went beyond the norm to show us to our room at midnight. She even suggested a safe place for our bicycles and helped us carry them. The next day Frank who is one of the first people a visitor encounters also went above and beyond by obtaining a luggage cart and loading our very heavy suitcase on it. All done with a cheerfullness that belies the effort it required. Finally, Gideon was a wonderful ambassador for the hotel. The visit was so exceptional that even though there are many other properties at which to stay in Rotterdam, the S.S. Rotterdam hotel will be my choice in the future.

Goed ontbijt maar kom op tijd

Expérience vraiment sympa. Personnel au top ! Propreté impeccable. La Nespresso dans la chambre et le mini bar sont un vrai plus. Les bémols : un peu loin du centre ville et parking un peu cher.

we had an executive suite that was comfortable (use to be a premium suite during her cruising years), but the position of the tv made it a bit of a challenge on passing the king size bed without knocking without knocking your shoulders. having the option to open the windows was a bonus as we looked over the bow. our stay included a look into the many lounges and the engine room below, but the ship must NOT lock all doors as it was just about impossible to get back inside and is considered a hazard if the ship had an emergency to abandoned ship and people would be stuck on the decls above the promenade. the included breakfast was ok, most everything was tasteless or was chewy like eating cardboard (small pancakes)...pastries and fruit was nice.
