The staff were incredibly accommodating and the service was impeccable. From the concierge and doorman coming to help get our luggage to the reception who call you by name. Could not have a more enjoyable stay!

We had a suite that was well appointed, comfortable and close to lounge. As it is a converted building, the rooms are not large, but the bed, linens, and pillows were perfect. Light switch different than in the USA, so it was a novel experience in turning on/off various lights. Being a residents' hotel, only the guest could access hotel. Never seemed crowded. The staff were amazing, attentive, kind, called us by name, remembered our preferences and overall perfect. We asked for special scotch tasting and were extremely impressed by the depth of knowledge. Convenient and worth the price.

The stay was beyond exceptional.

This hotel was so tiny you could barely move. Uncomfortable way to dine. Barely turn around in room. It was almost claustrophobic. Great staff but nothing else. It’s beautiful and clean but very uncomfortable

Beautiful hotel with small but perfectly formed rooms. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the castle which was tiny but lovely. The bar area is fantastic and the Whisky Bar was our downfall (thanks to Dario who is an expert!) Will definitely return

The staff was excellent. The room was extremely small. I was a little irritated to see on my final bill that I was charged for a coffee. I was sitting at the reception waiting for the manager to complete my bill when one part waiters offered me a cup of coffee, which I accepted. I didn’t ask for it, but I thought it was a nice gesture only to find I was charged 7 1/2 pounds for it. That was frustrating

Absolutely stunning. Take a trip back in time and find yourself in luxurious historical Scotland. The hotel and rooms are fab, as are the staff, who are very knowledgeable about whiskey and its origins. Well worth a treat.

Such a very special place. Cozy rooms, beautiful design, and the most wonderful service. The bar is excellent. Loved everything about it and would stay again.

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Amazing service

I regret to inform you that I encountered a considerable issue during my recent stay, which the staff was unable to promptly resolve or provide satisfactory alternatives for. Despite my reservation being made several months in advance (on August 16, 2025), the room assigned to me (#504) was located adjacent to a building currently undergoing construction or renovation. Over the course of my five-night stay, I was repeatedly awakened each morning by the noise emanating from the roof repairs. I brought this matter to the attention of the hotel staff after the second night and inquired about the possibility of relocating to a room away from the construction site, or at least on the opposite side of the hallway. I was informed that the hotel’s occupancy was approximately 65-67%. While the staff was responsive and attentive, the only solution offered was a room change for the final night of my stay, which I ultimately declined, as well as a complimentary glass of champagne, should I have chosen to dine at the hotel, which I also declined. Had I been aware of the potential disturbance to my rest, I would have chosen alternative accommodations.

Vi boede på 100 Princess i Edinburgh og havde generelt en god oplevelse. Beliggenheden er helt sublim med en fantastisk udsigt til slottet – virkelig noget særligt. Værelset var dog lidt småt, og skrå vægge gjorde det en smule trængt. Personalet var søde og imødekommende, men deres service virkede lidt indstuderet. Morgenmaden var lækker, men desværre alt for dyr i forhold til både mængde og standard. Hotellets stand og atmosfære var til gengæld helt i top – virkelig hyggeligt sted.

This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The staff were on top of everything and absolutely lovely. I highly recommend!
