The bed was terribly hard with wires poking in our backs. The pillows were not comfortable. The coach people in the hallways were extremely loud when we were trying to sleep. You could hear every word as there was no soundproofing at all. We could hear people talking loudly through the wall in the dining room in our bedroom late at night.The bartender was cranky and said he doesn’t make cocktails. You had to order whatever he had straight from the bottle. The breakfast offerings were decent.

Mattress worn out, no air conditioning, tv 18 inch, musky and smells like mildew.

Room was old but clean and comfortable, hotel was old but had great charm.

It’s a very old property. Bathrooms are not as expected. The spoon provided is not clean and unwashed.

Beautiful hotel on the outside, friendly knowledgeable staff & good breakfast. The bed was painful to sleep in, black mold in the shower, air vent thick and fluffy with dust. It was disgusting! Parking isnt great but does the job, wifi is good and drink prices are reasonable. Easy hotel to find but it needs a good scrub & new matress

Whilst I didn't make use of the dining room in the evenings, breakfasts were good. Harry the barman was excellent and proved knowledgeable about the whiskies available.

Vi hade läst en hel del negativa saker om hotellet, men det var helt ok. Rummen var fina och byggnaden slottslik. Ett par negativa saker var det "knarrande" golvet, varje steg hördes över stora delar av hotellet. Dyr frukost (15 gbp och även dyr restaurang för övrigt).

Staff good à part from Daniel he was very rude took money from acc but we had paid everything hubby had asked if there was any payments he was told no it was clear

It was a great location for us. Lovely little town. Rooms very hot.no aircon

The room was dirty, smelly, and hot due to water boiler in the room. Only a small window for such a hot room. The service was terrible because they were not bothered about these complaints.

Although a little tired and dated the price was excellent therefore difficult to complain about much.

Hole property needs brought into the 21st century, we paid for a superior room !! If that was the superior I’d hate to see the standard room, bed was rock solid , bathroom was a disgrace…dirty looking, broken and loose tiles on walls, dirty grout and silicone, no double glazing, no air con or even a fan, 14”tv, every floorboard made a loud creaking noise, the hotel inspector would have a field day with this place……bad bad bad !!!!

Outdated hotel but nice rooms comfy beds. Breakfast prices for kids is the same as an adult not worth £15 for kids to eat breakfast. No one was at reception when we tried to report the curtain fell down when we closed them

A challenging stay due to bad service, dirty rooms and a non-functioning shower.
