This was truly a place where love, care and compassion shine. I think it is a family business, or like minded people.
Nothing was too much trouble. Our hosts were attentive at all times and said many often to let them know if we needed anything, or wanted the dinner menu tweaked in any way.
I had afternoon tea in served on the patio everyday at four.
Breakfast was a huge buffet of local meats, cheeses, breads, cereal, fruit, coffee, muesli, juices and more.
On days when the hotel was not at full capacity - off season. You would just choose from a menu.
The hotel is old, with much historical interest. The charming bells on the adjacent church chimed just outside our windows every day.
The dining hall is “baronial”. The library sitting room very comfortably fitted - with rescue house cats and two dogs mellowly wandering through, sitting on sofas, and behaving in a way that wasi both calming and charming.
The bedrooms are well appointmented, and private. I imagine each one to be very different according to its conversion.
It is wonderfully situated to access several places of great interest. Rolling farmland, mountains, medieval and Roman ruins, charming old restored or vacant structures waiting for love. Villages and rural surprises galore.
Thans to our hosts for this wonderful opportunity to experience rural Catalonia at its best.

Very comfortable, friendly place for a few days. Only had one night there and would have enjoyed staying longer. Pet friendly … they have about 17-18 cats. Breakfast was amazing.

Vi har bott här tre år i rad och det är ett av våra absoluta favorit hotell. Det enda lilla minuset är kanske att menyn är lite begränsad till 2 olika förrätter och 2 olika varmrätter, men det vägs upp av personalens den underbara personalen. Vi är alltid på genomresa påväg till eller från Spanien och har svårt att utnyttja den härliga poolen och den vackra miljön då vi oftast kommer på kvällen och måste åka vidare relativt tidigt nästa morgon.

Hotel rústico en un paraje precioso. La habitación es algo obsoleta al igual que el baño, la ventana es pequeña y es poco luminosa y calurosa. La atención de Julia y Catalina es exquisita. El desayuno bueno. Hemos pasado una estancia muy agradable. La zona increíble.

Excellent peaceful property owners are very nice love the dogs around the property greeting you. Rooms are very nice. We had a delicious breakfast in the morning prepared for us .

Big comfortable room and nice place to stay. I could not get over how amazing the building and stone work were. The dinners were some of the best we had on our trip. The location was very peaceful and worked great from visiting Girona and Besalú areas.

We loved our stay at Sala de Camós! Catalina and Goretti were excellent hosts- so friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were amazing. We just stayed for one dinner and it was very good. The location is fantastic for exploring the Gorratxa volcano park and nearby medieval villages as well as Girona and sea coast. The beautiful old rectory building is clean and well appointed- WiFi, air conditioning, and a nice pool. And our children had a wonderful time playing with the cats. I have allergies but all the animals were mostly outside and didn’t give me any trouble. The time spent at this lovely inn was a highlight of our trip. Highly recommended.
