La Sala de Camós

This was truly a place where love, care and compassion shine. I think it is a family business, or like minded people. Nothing was too much trouble. Our hosts were attentive at all times and said many often to let them know if we needed anything, or wanted the dinner menu tweaked in any way. I had afternoon tea in served on the patio everyday at four. Breakfast was a huge buffet of local meats, cheeses, breads, cereal, fruit, coffee, muesli, juices and more. On days when the hotel was not at full capacity - off season. You would just choose from a menu. The hotel is old, with much historical interest. The charming bells on the adjacent church chimed just outside our windows every day. The dining hall is “baronial”. The library sitting room very comfortably fitted - with rescue house cats and two dogs mellowly wandering through, sitting on sofas, and behaving in a way that wasi both calming and charming. The bedrooms are well appointmented, and private. I imagine each one to be very different according to its conversion. It is wonderfully situated to access several places of great interest. Rolling farmland, mountains, medieval and Roman ruins, charming old restored or vacant structures waiting for love. Villages and rural surprises galore.
