Great location Comfortable room with facilities. 5 star luxurious hotel

Very good service good location

The room was subpar. It’s so old and badly maintained. I needed to change rooms twice and so did the rest of the 3 families that were travelling with us. Two rooms smelled bad, one room has its AC down. The buffet was awful. Very disappointed. Highly discouraged people staying here especially families.

Great location, attentive staff, and an excellent breakfast buffet with a variety of food and beverages. The property was well maintained, and our children especially enjoyed the pool and other amenities. The only minor drawbacks were that the rooms felt somewhat dated and that we had to follow up several times before the requested extra bed was delivered. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would certainly stay here again.

Room space was great for family of 4.

The wash basin and bath tub was full of permanent stains. The balcony door doesn't fully close. It was highly chaotic both during check in and check out.

The room size is acceptable, but the shower place is too small and inadequate, water flows on bathroom floors while having shower. The A/C has to keep at 20 deg C or else room with get moisture which makes room floor slippery, room floors are not wiped properly, this I noticed when I cleaned the moisture on the floor with tissues to avoid slipping. Breakfast menu is great but although they have more then sufficient space, the interior is not designed properly which makes crowded at live station

Great hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Taj Samudra Colombo. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm and welcoming. A special thank you to Fatima and Indunil, who served us at breakfast, as well as Dewmali and Chandana, for their exceptional service and genuine care. They made us feel more like personal guests than hotel guests, which made our stay truly memorable. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We look forward to visiting again.

Stafff, hospitality

Stayed at the Luxury & Club room. When entering the room, toilet was not clean with stains in toilet. Amenities were not replenished, toothbrush given was of poor quality. Corridors were dirty and smelly. Wrote an email to both duty manager & general manager, yet not even a single reply. Went for dinner at Navaratna restaurant, bill was overcharged, ordered Kashmiri Naan as I am vegetarian instead they served Mutton Keema Naan saying that it is Kashmiri Naan. Absolutely horrible from a Taj brand. Never going to stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Taj, having been here on a number of occasions. A slight hiccup when we first arrived was the only downside. Food is good, staff are friendly and it's a good location.

Restaurant Manager for taking time to chat with our family during breakfast, enhancing the overall experience at Port of Call Restaurant. Port of Call offered a superb breakfast buffet with an amazing and wide variety of items. Everything was delicious and mouth-watering, beautifully catering to all tastes and preferences and perfectly complementing our celebration of my cousin’s incredible wedding the night before. Check-out was seamless, courtesy of Executive Secretary Thamali, whose kindness and care while we waited for transport added the final, thoughtful touch to our stay. I would highly recommend Taj Samudra to anyone seeking outstanding service, superb dining, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. This hotel truly elevated our family’s experience and left us with smiles that stayed long after we left.

This is my first visit to Taj samudra and I really enjoyed my stay. Specially I should appreciate Harsha, Malala, Ruwan, Dilahara and Gayan. I would like to recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

Outstanding

What I liked the most was the view from room. The hotel needs a good renovation. Loved the decore in the room. Needs to be more generous with the towels etc. always some towel is missing. As for the food it was good but all the sambals need attention. The chefs need to learn how to make a good lunumiris, seen sambal etc. Wattalappan fantastic. Oat porridge not ok. Fruit selection ok but no mango. How about some original sinhalese sweets. Kevun, thalaguli, arsmi, kokis kaludodol?

The sea view room was just an amazing experience. The staff are very hospitable and welcoming. There was a good selection of breakfast. The location is very convenient.
