We loved the hotel. The room was larger than expected with a small balcony and dark blinds to keep the light out at night. The staff were outstanding. They were all extremely professional, delightful to speak with, and had the right dash of humour. Nothing was too difficult. Breakfast wasn't over the top but fresh and tasty. There is a walk down into Lugano town and a walk back up the hill. I came here because it is close to the train station. I brought my 84 year old mother and she was able to walk up and down with mini breaks. It is a family owned hotel which I would highly recommend.

A very pleasant self-catering studio about 70 metres down the hill from the main hotel and towards the town centre. It is on the first floor of a very pretty town house, and has good enough cooking/eating equipment. There is an excellent food section in a department store further down the hill in the town centre, about 200 metres away ... if you are ok with carrying your groceries back up to the accommodation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one-night stay at this hotel. Everything was clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. The breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, and the hotel’s convenient location made it an excellent choice. We would definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again.

The staff is absolutely amazing. Truly the kindest and nicest people out of our whole trip throughout Switzerland and Italy. It’s an older home but extremely clean and it’s very well kept. I normally never leave reviews but this place and staff truly stood out.

Everything was perfect, as usual - I knew this Hotel from past visits - except the arrogant, unprofessional, unqualified receptionist at checkout who spoiled everything. I seriously consider returning at the risk of meeting this person again.

Room was spacious and clean with a really nice view of the surroundings. The Staff were really friendly and also helpful.

We had a great stay here! The location was amazing as it was so close to the city center of Lugano. We easily walked from the hotel to all the busiest spots in the city. Amazing food surrounds this place as well as stores for shopping. The included breakfast was pretty good as well! The only negative experience we had was with one of the staff. I was pushed into getting a drink I did not want, even after I declined it a couple of times, since they did not want what I actually wanted. And after, I had told them I wanted to pay for the drink bill right away, not put it on the room because I wanted to use a different card for the drink order. Again, same person kept pushing to put it on the room when I had told them “No” about a dozen times. Finally, he gave up and left so I could take care of it with the supportive staff at the front desk. Other than that abnormal experience, we had a great stay!

The hotel is situated below the train station, accessible by a steep, zigzag path. The incline made carrying luggage to station challenging.

The hotel was just below the train station but it was still very quiet. The rooms were updated and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of hot and cold foods. We walked down the hill to dinner, sightseeing and shopping and took the tram up. Transportation was free because of the pass the hotel gives you. Excellent place to stay!
