Holiday Inn NYC - LOWER EAST SIDE, an IHG Hotel

Location is close to so many restaurants and shopping. Excellent hotel staff! Rooms and entire hotel areas very clean and comfortable!

The location is good for the lower east side area. However, it seems as though this house houses homeless people. Which I am all about, however when paying a not cheap nightly rate, I would prefer to not have that. First night we stayed, there were people sleeping on the couches in the lobby. Which then also meant that the complimentary water/coffee/ tea was then never put back out.

Very pleased with our stay there. Would definitely stay there again.

The team and facility are great. The location is close to Brooklyn and easy to navigate to lots of places in Manhattan. There are food, fitness, shopping and entertainment options all nearby.

First room we were given had a soaked rug. Looked like a refrigerator leak. Gross. Next room was good. Staff not very outgoing. Fine though.

This was our second stay at this hotel, and would probably not stay again. Previously stayed in 2022. It is a good location for subway and walking places downtown. Reasonable price for manhattan. The rooms were spacious, clean & comfortable. However, the first few floors of the hotel have been turned into some kind of accommodation for homeless. The lift sometimes had a smell of cannabis, there were some dodgy characters outside the hotel and in the stairwell. My friend had an altercation with one such person. Another of our party saw someone lying on the lobby floor when the lift doors opened on one of the lower floors. As a result we did not feel safe. We spoke with the reception staff who were lovely & apologetic, but it not their problem to fix or apologise for… I am not in the way of leaving negative reviews, however if I had been aware of the situation in the hotel I would not have booked this hotel in the first place. We felt uncomfortable & unsafe at times

Hotel was beautiful and great, just to be careful in nearby streets in evening.

We stayed one night prior to cruise and found it to be comfortable and in an area where we could get to a store or restaurant very easily. The front desk personnel was very friendly at every encounter. They even held our luggage when we wanted to grab breakfast prior to departing for the port. It was a good experience.

The staff was excellent! Great customer service. The room was comfortable and clean. The outside of the hotel was under construction and a bit of a mess. Scaffolding and workers at the entrance.

Das Zimmer war für 3 Personen mit 3 Koffern etwas klein und auch nur ein kleiner Kleiderschrank und 2 Schubladen machten das verstauen der Kleidung nicht leichter. Aber da man in New York sowieso ständig auf den Beinen ist und sich nur zum Schlafen im Hotel befindet kann man darüber weg schauen. Es war sauber, das Personal sehr freundlich und das ist für uns das Wichtigste gewesen. Die U-Bahn befindet sich gleich in der Nähe, sowie auch ein Lidl und Target und Möglichkeiten für Essen zum Mitnehmen sind direkt um die Ecke. Es hat alles gepasst
