I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at the Burlington Waterfront Hotel was extremely disappointing and embarrassing. We booked this stay for a special occasion—our anniversary—and included a note in the reservation requesting something small to acknowledge it. Not only was the request completely ignored, but we were also given a room on the first floor directly in front of the lobby. No privacy, tons of noise, and it felt like an afterthought rather than a special stay.
To make things worse, the fridge in the room didn’t work, which we only discovered after putting items inside. Not only was this inconvenient, but it was embarrassing given the context of our stay. We had hoped for a relaxing and memorable experience, but instead, we left feeling dismissed and disrespected.
For the price and the reputation this hotel has, we expected basic hospitality and a bit of care—neither of which were delivered. I truly hope the management takes guest feedback more seriously in the future.
