Stayed here overnight with my husband as we were attended an event at Piece Hall in Halifax. Check-in and check-out were very straight forward and staff were friendly. Although we weren't aware of a charge for parking before we arrived, the process for paying was quick and easy and we had no problem finding a space. Our room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. Bathroom was clean but a bit tired, would benefit from a refresh/update. Our sleep was a little disturbed by music playing until the early hours at what we're guessing was a private function within the hotel. Maybe the room would benefit from better sound proofing or for functions to finish a little earlier? The bed was very comfortable though. Breakfast was tasty but it felt like they weren't expecting the numbers of guests who came, with food running out and people waiting around for items to be replenished. They also seemed to struggle for table spaces even though there was a long table reserved but not never used. Overall we enjoyed our stay as it was convenient for the event we were attending and the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.

Place is very clean and nice rooms. Could do with some AC as well stayed during the heatwave and all we had was a fan and 2 small opening windows. Could also do with more plug sockets, especially around the bed, but this is not a deal breaker. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of options.

Bar staff brilliant, friendly (Izzy) l think her name was. From Leeds Not much to say about lad on checking in desk 🙁 Breakfast 4 out of 10 Humming sound from big green box outside window (generator l think) plus coffee machine did not work (found out in morning which was too late).

Wouldn’t have breakfast, especially when priced at £15 per person. Plenty of choices but poor quality

I have used this hotel many times. The extra fee for parking is just annoying. The food is generally ok but I was ill for three days following a caesar salad. One of the anchovies tasted rather funky, and oddly the waitress kept coming round looking worried and asking if my meal was ok. I found out a few hours later that it really wasn't!

We are regular visitors. The rooms are always clean and well-equipped and the staff are helpful and friendly.

Lovely hotel, nice and clean. Staff nice and polite. Room lovely and spacious, comfortable bed. Room had everything you needed in it.

So when we checked in it was not the usual friendliness that we had received before It was very negative we did not have a room on the ground floor and we were told that we would have to upgrade yet again but this time £25 when I was told previously that it would be cheaper to upgrade at the hotel The first room was on the 3rd floor but had more steps so my husband really struggled and felt really poorly as he is not a well man We have been many times to this hotel and thought that they would have known this The first receptionist moved us to the room next door where there were no steps, but because we had a bad experience I requested to see the room first which did not go down well Whilst I was doing that no one went to see if my husband was ok !!! I was not very happy at all When I saw the 2 nd receptionist and explained all he gave me was a lecture about booking direct with the hotel and then they could possibly do something about it I was annoyed to say the least and stated that there were plenty of other places we could stay if they couldn't accommodate our needs and all he said was , " yeah you already said that" and was not even bothered cause he stated that a lot of people stay there We definitely need to really think of we are going to go back there as it is disgraceful

Easy to access and near to M62 but quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend the breakfast. Pity you need to pay for parking.

Rooms need upgrading on the 2nd floor. We arrived 1pm. Check in normally 2pm. Reception wanted £10 extra for each room for an early check in. PARKING EASY £4 PER NIGHT
