Breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice Parking was plentiful You can park the car for 24 hours during your stay so you can catch a bus into the town centre and have a trot round Found a maca dees down the road as well

We were really unhappy at first as the room we were given the toilet stank, I went to reception to complain about this and the only choice I was given was to pay for an upgrade.!! Although it was only £15 I don't think that this was fair, especially as it was uninhabitable The receptionist said that he would pass this on to his manager but I have not heard a thing We are going again, but are obviously very wary about it all We are going quite a few times to this hotel and the previous rooms have been really nice I must admit I was quite shocked about this

Love this hotel. Very plush and clean. Easy parking. Staff let this stay down, not helpful, friendly or welcoming! Shame, as a solo female traveller, a warm welcome is priceless. The gym is amazing and if you want this from a hotel this is for you. Good location and some good deals to be found. Can sometimes be out of my work budget. I’d def stay again when working in Huddersfield.

The hotel itself was good and I had no issues with the stay, but the booking process via Hotels.com was frustrating. I chose this specific hotel because it was advertised at a discounted price of £48. However, £57 was actually deducted from my account. When I contacted customer service, they refused to help because I didn’t have a screenshot as "proof" of the lower price. It’s disappointing because I drove 35 minutes away from Manchester specifically for that deal. If I had known it would cost £57, I would have just booked a room in the city and saved myself the long drive. Advice to others: screenshot your price before you pay, as the final charge might not match what you saw.

The overall condition of the hotel was good, and the facilities met expectations. However, our stay was overshadowed by an extremely unpleasant experience with a staff member who was also the duty manager. We were staying at the hotel to attend a wedding in the area. I was in a nearby room and part of the same group as the groom, and witnessed the incident on the morning of checkout—also the morning of the wedding. The groom’s room had paid for a late checkout until 12pm. Despite this, a staff member arrived around 30 minutes early and insisted they were late leaving. She did not check the system and repeatedly told them to leave immediately. Her language and tone were aggressive and confrontational—I have never seen a staff member speak to guests like this. She addressed it loudly at the room door, which was embarrassing and caused unnecessary stress. The situation escalated to the point where a family member had to be interrupted while in the shower to confirm payment. It created tension within the group and ultimately ruined what should have been a joyful wedding morning. As some of the group were dressed in traditional attire, the interaction felt particularly uncomfortable and gave the impression of possible bias. While the hotel itself was fine, this incident significantly impacted the overall experience.

Breakfast very nice.... Evening meal excellent.. Room definitely needs up grading. I.e. Dripping bathroom taps Behind the toilet needed the sealing The bed was very comfortable which is important... Overhaul... Would stay again as brought so many happy memories ...

Amazing value for money

The room was nice and big and very clean

We only needed the room. We spent all the time visiting friends and eating out. The accommodation was comfortable

The staff were very good but the room left a lot to be desired. The windows were drafty, the bathroom needed a lot of cosmetic attention. Wallpaper coming off, sealant missing or put on too thick. Towel rail loose on the wall.

Didn't eat in the restaurant, felt it was overpriced. Very disappointed at the fact that the car park, which was in the grounds of the hotel was pay for residents. Room was adequate, although in several ways the hotel was not really that disabled friendly I thought. Not that i required disabled access, but the fact that the disabled parking bays were next to a set of stairs and it was a reasonable diversion to use the ramps. The outer two doors were automatic but the doors into the foyer were push to open and quite heavy. Again, just poor planning for someone with limited mobility or in a wheelchair. It was ok for a one night stay or if you were coming via work and they were footing the bills, but i don't think i would use it for a long stay personally
