Low water pressure in the shower booth was bothering me during stay. A room is partly renovated but the bed was old one with squeaking sound. Calm environment was positive.

This is my uncomfortable experience of a week in The Exceptional Room. From my experience, I don't think they vacuum the carpets in the rooms. The dust that had fallen was still there. A very pungent, sewage-like smell will greet you in the bathroom. When I first entered the bathroom, I noticed other people's long hair here and there. After each shower, the shower stall leaks, leaving the floor soaking wet. I slipped once, but you could slip twice or three times, so be careful. The most absurd thing was that there was absolutely no place to put shampoo and soap in the shower booth. I went down to the front desk to complain, and a staff member came up, looked at it, told me to wait, and then he made one for himself using a wooden board and hangers. OMG. A few days later, my wife was in her pajamas when a technician came into her room without permission to fix it. She was so surprised that she sent him out of the room. One day, I left my card key on the wall, went out for a moment, and when I returned, it was gone. Only the housekeeper could do that, so I went to ask her, and found the card key in her pocket. Don't expect amenities to always be plentiful. Some days, they don't provide any at all, while others only provide shampoo and shower gel. There was a soap bar on the first day. One more thing. The bathtub looks really nice. However, for some reason, the water is contaminated with a lot of dirt or iron. Because of the character limit, this is all I can write.

Absolutely lovely hotel, well placed for a 2-3 minute walk into town. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast at €27 was pretty expensive for what it was, and I was surprised that room service didn't dust the bedroom or make the beds daily, just cleaned the bathroom.

This property is very well located near the Centrum and yet in a quiet area. We were a bit disappointed because the advertisements show, apparently, their top level rooms. The room we got overlooked a parking lot. For the price, the room was a little small and the furniture a bit worn. The shower floor was extremely slippery (maybe the material? or whatever is used to clean it?) to the point of being rather hazardous. Skimpy supplies with only soap provided (no shampoo, lotion, etc). Upon checkout, hotel staff was sympathetic to our concerns, but not much they could do about it. We did not eat/drink at the hotel so cannot comment on that part of the operation.

Fantastic hotel. Good breakfast but 5 minutes away 5 euro less at local restaurants. The WiFi is not so great. Not sure why video performance is so bad on their wifi.

Very quiet, excellent staff and breakfast

I am staying in the new extension of the hotel, which does not seem to have been fully renovated yet. Additionally, there is a lack of proper connectivity between the main building and the new extension. Regarding my room, it is spacious and features a separate bathroom and toilet. However, it is somewhat inconvenient because the two rooms are located at opposite ends, and there is no handwashing facility in the toilet. Moreover, the coffee machine is not functioning properly and is covered in dust.

Our room was clean and comfortable and staff helpful, but the room layout was badly planned. You could not see the television from the sofa area. There was no shower screen so we had to have a bath but the soap dispenser fixed to the wall was too far away to reach when seated in the bath.

The rooms, shared areas and bar were great and it's a beautiful building in a nice, quiet part of town. I do think the breakfast is very expensive but apart from that, a great stay.

Enjoyed our stay, great breakfast, room spacious & clean. Staff friendly &helpful. Enjoyed our visit to bar, friendly staff. Ate at Curatio restaurant which was 5 star. Nonie & Barry
