We stayed for one night. Firstly, there is barely any parking. They have an overflow lot but it’s hard to find, and I wouldn’t trust my car there overnight. When we checked in, our initial room smelled really bad - like dirty mop water. The lady at the front desk was accommodating and changed our room. The room we changed to was dirty. The bathroom was not cleaned, there was hair and dirt everywhere and the toilet had not been cleaned! I refused to shower as it was also very dirty. Free breakfast was not great either, had to wait 15 minutes for coffee as it was not brewed. The staff at the front desk was very nice though. Would not stay here again.

Had to park in a lot approximately a block away, not a huge deal, as they provided a parking pass. Went for breakfast, there were no plates or eggs. I alerted front desk staff that no plates were available, they said they would look after it. My husband and I waited approximately 5 minutes and still no plates (it was during this time I learned there were also no omelettes). We went back to our room, packed up and checked out. During check out the plates could be seen still sitting in packaging on the desk.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We absolutely loved our stay! The location couldn’t have been better—just steps from the water and surrounded by so many fantastic restaurants and shops. It was the perfect place to relax and explore the area. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We can’t wait to come back and will definitely be staying here again!

The hotel is downtown Orillia, Close lots of local shopping, restaurants and the lake. The staff were awesome and our room was clea.

The Champlain Waterfront Hotel offered excellent value. The room was spacious and clean. My favorite part was the breakfast which included cereal, muffins, bagels, yogurt, jams, juice and coffee. It really helped me start the day right. The staff was also very helpful. Would be happy to stay here again.

Great location - short walk to restaurants and to the waterfront. If attending Mariposa Music Festival the bus to the festival stopped 1.5 blocks away. Staff were as helpful as they could be.

Room was clean, AC worked well, only Complaint is parking, not enough parking close to the hotel. Hotel parking lot filled by people from the restaurant/bar nearby

Great location. Walkable to all of Orillia's spots. Rooms were clean, updated but a little small. Would stay again.

Great downtown property. Wonderful staff. It is an old hotel and is starting to look tired.

I stayed in 102. Updated room. loved the accessibility by stairs and elevator Only negative was a bunch of rowdy people walking home from the Legion. And that was only a couple minutes—but it did wake us.

Needs updating and cleaning, particularly the halls. Rooms are small and key stopped working. As well they were unable to reset it. However, they were great at opening it for us each time. Breakfast was sparse with waffles, toast and yogurt.

Excellent front desk staff. Thank you Joanne especially! Clean, comfy beds, decent breakfast and great a/c.
