The dinner offerings in both restaurant and bar were excellent as were all the staff On the down side, our room's television suffered from a very weak signal with resulting frequent service interruptions. In addition, we observed that the mobile phone reception in the area was very weak. But overall an enjoyable stay

Nice clean room, friendly staff, gym with good opening hours

Could fault the stay, the place is wonderful! The only thing that was annoying was as I checked in got hit with a £55 extra for having my small Yorkie stay. For 2 nights this was the highest I’ve ever paid for my dog to stay anywhere, I’ve requested where I was informed of this and it’s no where At the stage of checking it’s far too late to cancel or to question! So for dog lovers be more mindful about the cost

Hotel,room,grounds & swimming pool area was very well maintained & spotlessly clean....we loved the pathway around the grounds for walking our dog & was so surprised to have so many dog litter bins provided also an outside dog bath/shower amazing .....The staff was lovely everywhere in the hotel ....a great buffet breakfast & during our stay popped in to lounge area where you had a free drinks machine which we had excellent hot chocolate from after our dog walk....hotel is set within a lovely area too highly recommend we will definitely be coming back

Comfortable bed , quiet room , good breakfast

Boxing Day buffet was served like a school dinner, we had to queue, meat was to processed . Plates weren’t cleared took our own plates of table had to clear our plates at breakfast to . This is basic hotel managment .Staff did eventually appear at breakfast. Unable to shower /bath in room water only running extremely hot. Pillows on bed might as well be put in bin. Standard has really dropped at this hotel. Staff were polite and pool was clean. Am awaiting response from manager .

New Place is good value for money. It's in a lovely quiet location, there is parking, it has a nice pool, gym and sauna. The food in the restaurant is very good and the main building is beautiful. The rooms aren't anything special, a bit of chipped paint here and there, but clean and have iron, hairdryer, tea coffee making facilities etc. I find the rooms don't get cleaned everyday, not that I need towels or bedding changed on a daily basis but top ups of toilet roll, tea coffee etc would definitely be appreciated.

Staff were friendly from the reception area. Unfortunately our room was not cleaned properly after the first night. Bed just about done and just the milks replaced! Bath towels not changed and just put back on the towel rack and the pool towels left soaking wet on our bed (despite being folded neatly on the desk ready to be replaced) There was also a blood spot on the pillow which we had to ask twice to be replaced - Despite this, the head of house keeping was prompt in changing our towels and stripping our bed completely with fresh sheets which was much appreciated! Lovely woman. Breakfast was ok. We found it to be overcooked meats and over fried eggs dripping in oil. Mushrooms were rubbery too. Continental section was pleasant however. Leisure facilities were a nice addition to the hotel. Although the changing areas were very very dirty. Dirty floors that were not cleaned and dirty changing rooms. Sauna was nice but the wooden planks were almost collapsing which was a health hazard. Room upon arrival was clean. However, there was no internet connection. No 5G or WiFi worked on our phones or laptops unfortunately. There was also huge mould patches on the walls next to the door and window. There was a smell of damp too. Not great for Asthma sufferers. Overall, the hotel was ok for a cheap getaway but a shame the cleanliness and mould problems let it down.

Room was very cold. Bathroom radiator did not work so bathroom freezing when -1 outside. probably wouldn't stay again especially during winter months

Rooms a little dated but the super friendly staff, warm welcome and facilities on offer so within a reasonable price more than make up for it. Can't wait to go back.
