Very good room and helpful Staff. Good resturants only yards away. Breakfast is good,but not much to choose from. A bit difficult to find the hotel,så maybe a bigger sign ! Walking distance to the shopping distrikt.

Perfect location - close to restaurants and shops.

We only stayed here for 1 night at the end of our trip. The location was great, breakfast was delicious, room was decent sized. The pool area on the deck was very nice.

The rooftop pool had amazing views of the city, stocked towels and plenty of loungers. The room was way bigger than expected, had two smart TVs, clean and a big private balcony where we could hear the street music. The buffet was fully stocked with fruits, veg, pastries AND even had crispy bacon. My son called it five stars. We all enjoyed our time here.

Helpful, friendly staff. They kindly let us book in early as my wife had a fall in the morning We left very early and a taxi was booked for us, very helpful. Lovely location, no shortage of restaurants in the area. Pretty view from the balcony Would Definitely recommend.

It was a beautiful location. Although it was an old building. It was updated recently. Beautiful architecture. Beautiful garden. Restaurants are nice. The only bad thing was Google maps did not have it exact on the maps and it took me awhile to find.

We had a great stay! Inis, the receptionist at night was so helpful and patiently answered all of our questions. The hotel is close to everything in a safe location. The breakfast was outstanding. The only issue was the rooftop pool was being cleaned when it was supposed to be open so we couldn’t take advantage of that amazing view.

The Hotel Talisman was a very good choice for my first night in Sao Miguel having taken a taxi from the airport. It is close to the centre of town and less than 5 minutes from where I picked up my hire car the next day. I didn't eat there that night as they only had a buffet for dinner. However breakfast was very good with a great deal of choice. The hotel is in a very old building with a quirky room layout but that only added to the charm of the place. I understand they have paid parking available but it wouldn't be my choice to stay with a car as the surrounding streets are very narrow.

We had a brief stay at this hotel en route to other destinations. The bed was comfortable and room spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was sufficient. Did not have time to use the pool or other amenities but wished we had. The bathtub was too small to actually be used as a bath, but fine for showering. Nice central location close to the airport. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The location was wonderful. It’s next to a beautiful garden. The rooftop pool has a view of the clock tower. The staff was friendly and helpful. We loved the 12:00 checkout time.

Hôtel bien placé dans Ponta Delgada. La piscine sur le rooftop est très appréciable. Il y a du choix au buffet du petit-déjeuner. Certes l'hôtel est légèrement vieillissant, mais les photos ne lui rendent pas justice.

Our room was so musty smelling, we couldn’t tolerate it. They moved us to a different room, which was smaller but worth downsizing to avoid the musty smell. The rooftop pool was wonderful. Great location.

We stayed one night in May 2026. We were welcomed warmly even though we arrived late at night due to a much delayed flight from Ponta Delgada. They upgraded us to a suite, which we were grateful for, after a long day of flying, and extended layovers in 4 airports, and getting lost while trying to find the hotel in the dark. The room was clean, and we enjoyed a peaceful night's rest and a standard complimentary breakfast the next morning.

Breakfast has a variety of food to choose from and staff are super helpful and nice. The location is perfect, with lots of amenities around. The pool area is great which is a nice to have! The room is equipped with everything and is kept clean.
